We are seeking an Interior Designer to support The Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (LBVAHCS) In this role, you will work within the Engineering Service Planning Section under the supervision of the VA Supervisory Interior Designer, where you will develop objectives, manage resources, and independently lead assigned tasks. You will oversee and execute space planning, project activations, budgeting, procurement package development, and coordination of delivery and installation, ensuring all work meets required standards, design intent, and project goals.

This is contingent upon the award of the contract. Project duration is expected to be one base year plus three option years.

Key Responsibilities:

<li>Independently create and execute design solutions for offices, conference rooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, waiting areas, lobbies, break rooms, and support spaces.</li>
<li>Perform technical, administrative, and professional work supporting facility operations, safety, and interior environments that promote productivity and wellbeing.</li>
<li>Prepare and develop detailed AutoCAD designs, plans, sketches, perspectives, color schemes, and presentation materials.</li>
<li>Analyze and interpret architectural drawings and develop Furniture, Fixture &amp; Equipment (FF&amp;E) plans, including building systems, materials, furnishings, and traffic flow.</li>
<li>Review architectural plans for compliance with VA standards, specifications, and the Technical Information Library (TIL).</li>
<li>Produce procurement packages including Statements of Work (SOW), technical specifications, drawings, cost estimates, bid sheets, and budgets.</li>

Qualifications to be successful in the role:
