This is a full-time, hybrid role based in either NYC, Boston, or Albany, NY. While you will have flexibility in your work schedule, a significant number of Advisors and clients are located in and around the NYC tri-state area, making periodic client visits within the region essential. For this reason, it is highly beneficial to be located in the NYC tri-state area and have the ability to travel as needed.
Key Deliverables include:
<ul><li>Providing expert guidance on all commercial coverage lines, with specialized knowledge in Private Equity, Construction, and Real Estate. Along with your leadership experience, you should have experience servicing or providing oversight of a Commercial Lines BOB with large lines of accounts and complex P&amp;C risk.</li>
<li>Lead new business pursuits: shape submission strategy, craft proposals and pitch materials, and participate in sales calls to help evaluate opportunities and drive close rates.</li>
<li>Serve as subject matter expert across casualty, property, cyber, and executive risk; advise on coverage structure, market conditions, and carrier selection for portfolio companies.</li>
<li>Conduct stewardship meetings, surface cross-sell opportunities, and coordinate specialist resources (e.g., Construction, Real Estate, Private Equity practices).</li>
</ul>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Strategize and drive new business growth with producers. May take over client account management on complex accounts.</li>
<li>Maintain ongoing relationships with complex and large clients; Act as the subject matter expert on Property &amp; Casualty and carrier products and services.</li>
<li>Prepares renewal proposals for presentation to the client, as well as new business proposals.</li>
<li>Act on and complete client requests that may arise throughout the year. Including but not limited to meeting with Advisors and Account Management Teams on a regular basis to assist with renewal and communication strategy and address client concerns.</li>
</ul>Strategic Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Liaise between Producer and Account Management staff to deliver client services. Maintain effective NFP corporate relationships.</li>
<li>Provide oversight and accountability on client deliverables throughout the year (i.e., renewal policies/summary delivery, stewardship reports, pre-renewal strategies, etc.).</li>
<li>Assist in finding, selecting, &amp; training the next Strategic Client Managers in the future as the book of business supports the growth.</li>
<li>Coordinate and run midyear/stewardship meetings with clients. Communicate client strategies with broader NFP resources.</li>
<li>Coordinate broader NFP resources (i.e., Private Equity, Construction, Real Estate Practice, etc.).</li>
 </ul>New Business:
<ul><li>Effectively partner with Producers and communicate with prospective clients throughout the new business sales cycle.</li>
<li>Assist Producers in closing prospective clients with proposals/pitch presentations, analytics, service deliverables, service calendars, etc.</li>
<li>Research and track leads for Producers using the Salesforce. Provide new clients with strategic guidance on timeline/deliverables.</li>
<li>Assist Producers in obtaining data from prospects and follow up on open items to lead to full submission.</li>
<li>Assist assigned Producers in obtaining full submissions from prospects and follow up on open opportunities and prospects.</li>
<li>Prepare and edit proposals from Marketing and present to prospects, with assistance from Producers.</li>
</ul>Marketing/Renewals:
<ul><li>Responsible for acting on and completing client requests and/or action items that may arise throughout the year with assistance from Account Management teams, including but not limited to:
<ul><li>Responding to new coverage requests, gathering information on a new company, acquisition or project, communicating with carrier markets for quotes and reviewing for accuracy</li>
<li>Meet with Advisors on a regular basis to assist with renewal and communication strategy</li>
<li>Serve as the line of communication between the Advisor and Account Management team to ensure that the renewal process is moving forward in a timely manner; maintain and manage the renewal calendar, perform appropriate outreach. Negotiate with underwriters as needed</li>
</ul></li></ul>Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
<ul><li>Knowledge of all areas of commercial property &amp; casualty insurance coverage with a strong acumen in Real Estate, Private Equity and Construction.</li>
<li>Ability to build relationships and drive business growth and retention. Be a self-starter, work independently, anticipate client and team needs and make sound independent decisions.</li>
<li>Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications and have excellent presentation skills.</li>
<li>Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Leadership skills with commanding presentation and public speaking abilities.</li>
<li>Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills. Read, analyze and reconcile financial reports.</li>
</ul>Education and/or Experience:
<ul><li>Property &amp; Casualty Broker&rsquo;s License required upon hire. CPCU or other P&amp;C designation preferred</li>
<li>BA/BS preferred; Master&rsquo;s degree in relevant subject (e.g., business, statistics, math/science, and actuarial science) highly desirable.</li>
<li>More than 15 years of industry and product line experience.</li>
<li>Must have retail brokerage experience (can be in addition to, but not limited to only Carrier, Wholesaler, and Intermediary agencies).</li>
