Summary: The Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) provides individualized

career counseling, vocational assessment, and employment support services to

counselor works collaboratively with participants, management, training providers, and
<br>
referral agencies to develop realistic vocational goals and career pathways aligned
<br>
with participants&rsquo; skills, interests, and abilities.<br>

Key Responsibilities<br>

</p><p>Conduct comprehensive vocational assessments, including interests, skills,
<br>
aptitudes, and employment barriers
 </p><p>Develop Individualized Employment Plans (IEPs) or vocational service plans in
<br>
collaboration with participants
 </p><p>Provide career counseling, job readiness coaching, and labor-market guidance
 <br>
Assist participants with career exploration, training placement, credentialing,
</p><p>and certification pathways
 <br>
Support participants with resume development, cover letters, interview
</p><p>preparation, and job search strategies
 <br>
Coordinate referrals to education, training programs, internships,
</p><p>apprenticeships, and supportive services
 <br>
Maintain regular communication with management, training partners, and
</p><p>funding agencies, such as Access-VR
 <br>
Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing follow-up and retention
</p><p>support
 <br>
Maintain accurate and timely case documentation, progress notes, and
</p><p>required reports
 <br>
Ensure compliance is maintained and upheld with Exponents policies, funding
</p><p>requirements, and confidentiality standards

</p><p>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology,

The ideal candidate will perform work using the applicable policy, guidance, and the electronic case management system. The TVRC is hired by the VR Supervisor with the approval of the VR Manager, and works independently, with moderate to minimal supervision by the VR Supervisor.</p><div>
GENERAL DUTIES:<br>

The Transition Counselor will support American Indian students (16 years of age and older) with disabilities in preparing for employment and life after high school. The goal is to establish and maintain partnerships that support American Indian (AI) students with disabilities as they transition from high school to employment or post-secondary education and then employment. The Transition Counselor provides direct and indirect casework services to young adults with varying levels of functional disabilities. As a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant, you will be reviewing and analyzing disability claims to identify potential candidates for vocational case management services and supporting customers for successful accommodation outcomes. You will act as a resource and provide consultative service to clarify vocational and/or medical information to assist Claims teams. You will support the team to provide high quality vocational services and activities to support accommodation services. You will partner closely with appropriate stakeholders to facilitate safe and timely return to work for claimants. In addition, you will spend time assessing claimants return to work needs by phone to help outline their work objectives. <li>Have an Impact &ndash; Through developing and implementing comprehensive vocational and/or accommodation plans to assist our customers in the Accomadation process.</li>
<li>Be an Expert &ndash; By using your Vocational Expertise and analytical skills, you will assist our claims partners in understanding occupational demands, transferability of skills and reasonable job accommodations while interpreting policy language.</li>
<li>Partner and Collaborate - Utilizing your expertise, you will collaborate and connect daily with claims specialists, managers, nurses, behavioral health specialists and physicians to review medical documentation to derive recommendations and understanding of disability.</li>
<li>Engagement and Success &ndash; Provide support and engage with our customers while positively impacting the lives of individuals through return-to-work and stay-at work plans.</li>
<li>Communicate Effectively - Able to efficiently articulate your opinion and communicate with a varied audience. Professionally use email, telephone, and written correspondence.</li>

</div><div>The pay range for this position is $72,900 - $131,600 with <b>anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range</b> and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln&rsquo;s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln&rsquo;s standard benefits package.</div><br>
