 Position Overview
 
 
 
 Reporting directly to the President &amp; CEO, the Vice President of Finance serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all financial functions at PAI. This leader will guide financial planning, compliance, accounting operations, audit, and reporting while ensuring strong stewardship of organizational resources in support of PAI&rsquo;s global mission.
 
 
 The VP of Finance will build and lead a high-performing finance function, strengthening infrastructure, systems, and processes to support a complex, grant-funded organization operating across multiple geographies. This individual will partner closely with internal leadership, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders to translate financial data into strategic insight, enabling informed decision-making and long-term sustainability.
 
 
 The ideal candidate is both strategic and highly hands-on, capable of setting financial vision while rolling up their sleeves to support execution in a lean, collaborative environment. Given PAI&rsquo;s fast-paced operating cadence, this leader must be adaptable, responsive, and comfortable operating with urgency, often aligning to leadership availability outside of traditional business hours to maintain momentum and decision flow.  Finance Leadership &amp; Strategy

 Serve as a strategic advisor to the President &amp; CEO and Leadership Team on financial planning, forecasting, compliance, and organizational performance.

 Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy and multi-year roadmap to strengthen financial systems, processes, and long-term sustainability.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required, CPA or advanced degree preferred.

 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.

 3+ years in a senior leadership role.

 Strong nonprofit finance experience, including fund accounting, grant management, and cost recovery structures.

Fairfield Memorial Hospital is a fully-accredited, not-for-profit critical access hospital. It has 25 acute-care beds and employs more than 250 employees. The medical staff at FMH is made up of more than 90 credentialed physicians and healthcare providers. It is accredited by the Joint Commission. FMH offers a number of services including a 30-bed Skilled Care Unit, Home Health Services, 24-hour emergency care, ICU, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, pulmonary and cardiac rehab and occupational, speech and physical therapies. FMH opened Horizon Healthcare in 2008, a certified hospital based-rural health clinic. It is now housed in a 25,486 square foot facility in Fairfield and has two other locations as well.</div>

OverviewWe are seeking a financial leader who will supervise staff, prepare annual budgets, monitor financial performance, analyze general ledger accounts, administer the 401k plan, and perform business analytics in coordination with the VP of Finance. The Controller will work closely with other departments to provide financial expertise and is involved in organization-wide and department-driven initiatives with high visibility across the organization. The incumbent will oversee external audits and all process improvements that result from audit findings or recommendations. The primary purpose of the Controller is to ensure the production of timely and accurate financial reports.Responsibilities<ul><li>Supervises and provides guidance to Finance team members to ensure work is completed accurately and timely. Reviews and approves journal entries prepared by Finance team members.</li><li>Assists VP of Finance with PPGP&rsquo;s annual budgeting process. Monitors execution of the budget to ensure that revenues and expenses are properly allocated among companies, departments, health centers and service lines. Complies, reviews and delivers monthly budget to actual performance reports. Conducts quarterly meetings with people who have budget responsibility to review significant variances.</li><li>Monitors &ldquo;cash on hand&rdquo; and ensures transfers are made between bank accounts as needed.</li><li>Develops budgets and/or prepares all necessary financial documents for grants being submitted to funders.</li><li>Produces monthly financial statements and related financial analysis. Prepares reports and projections based on the analysis.</li><li>Working with the Grant Manager in the Development Department, tracks and monitors grants in compliance with funding restrictions and ensures related expenses are tracked appropriately. Performs monthly analysis of balance sheet accounts and works with VP of Finance to resolve any identified issues.</li><li>Provides creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve PPGP&rsquo;s financial performance.</li><li>Assists VP of Finance and applicable consultants with annual financial and single audits including preparation of required schedules such as 990s.</li><li>Assists VP of Finance with preparing materials for distribution to the Operations, Finance and Audit Committee and to the full Board of Directors prior to meetings.</li><li>Assists VP of Finance in managing outsourced billings and the collection function. Transformation Programme Leadership<ul><li>
Lead the end-to-end delivery of the One GBSC transformation programme, including the People Squad and Build Stream pillars</li><li>
Own the programme governance framework, including milestones, risk registers, RAID logs, and executive reporting</li><li>

Essential<ul><li>
Significant experience in a transformation, continuous improvement, or shared services leadership role, ideally within a Finance and Accounting or GBS/BPO environment</li><li>
Demonstrable track record of delivering large-scale, multi-workstream change programmes</li><li>
Strong process improvement credentials, with working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent frameworks (Green Belt or above preferred)</li><li>
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly at VP and C-suite level</li><li>
Experience developing and embedding SOPs, governance frameworks, and performance measurement systems</li><li>

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Onboarding new/additional coders to RestorixHealth Coding Team, including:</li>
<li>Participation in the interview process with VP, Revenue Integrity.</li>
<li>Administer coding proficiency assessments for potential coders (applicants).</li>
<li>Training/review all needed systems for newly hired certified coders.</li>
<li>Monitor proficiency and accuracy of newly hired certified coders for 30 days.</li>
<li>Monitor coder productivity and work with Coding staff to ensure that all charts are coded timely and correctly.</li>
<li>Establish back up plan/cross coverage (to address time off, unexpected team absences, etc.) to ensure that timely coding is maintained.</li>
<li>Assist Coding staff as needed to escalate concerns (to senior staff as needed) regarding incomplete charts that cannot be coded.</li>
<li>Monitor center coding volume and coder workload to ensure adequate workload distribution and to ensure that all completed charts are coded in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Compile monthly coder labor report for reclassification by finance team.</li>
