The Vice President, Product Manager &ndash; Quote &amp; Buy serves as the executive business sponsor and accountable owner of a large‑scale, enterprise transformation program focused on modernizing the quote‑to‑purchase and customer service experience to drive profitable customer acquisition and materially improve enterprise performance.
Representing the business at the executive level, this role translates strategic objectives into a clear acquisition and service transformation vision, measurable outcomes, and sustainable value creation. The VP provides decision leadership across the transformation portfolio to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy, growth priorities, and risk posture across customer acquisition, service delivery, and supporting platforms.

Enterprise Transformation &amp; Value Realization<ul><li>
Serve as executive business sponsor and value owner for acquisition and customer service transformation initiatives, with end-to-end accountability for outcomes defined in the approved business case.</li><li>

Establish governance for conversion analysis and friction removal, leveraging data, analytics, experimentation, and customer insights.</li><li>

 Our client headquartered in Virginia is seeking a Business Development Manager based in Arlington. The position reports to the VP of Business Development and offers a hybrid workplace with two remote days. The Business Development Manager will utilize market research, existing personal contacts and in-person events to identify leads and drive the entire consultative business development life-cycle, as an individual contributor.
 
 
 
 
 
 The ideal candidate has consultative sales experience in the defense market, including competitive analysis, requirements identification, technical solutions assessment and proposal development. Possesses proven project management, analytical, technical writing and communication skills.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Duties/Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the defense industry and support all phases of the capture process
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead cross-functional proposal development, pricing strategies and proposal creation
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify requirements, assess technical solutions and generate White Papers and Proposals
 </li>
 <li>
 Build and nurture trusted relationships with military partners and defense industry stakeholders to expand business opportunities
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding potential customers on value proposition and products
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop long-term strategic business development plans
 </li>
 <li>
 Deliver reports and briefings on sales pipeline, highlighting opportunities, challenges and resolutions
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills/Requirements:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Proficiency with government programs (ideally military, missile defense or space)
 </li>
 <li>
 Exceptional prospecting, negotiation, presentation and consensus building skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with Requirements Gathering, Research and Technical Writing
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven strategic planning and execution
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be willing to travel to existing and prospective client locations, trade shows, conferences and industry events as required (up to 40%)
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 8+ Years&rsquo; Product Business Development experience in the Defense industry (Product Development Engineering background a plus)
 </li>
 <li>
 3+ Years of Capture Management (preferably Defense Systems)
 </li>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from accredited four-year College or University
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be US Citizen and eligible to obtain US DoD Secret Clearance (active clearance a plus)
 </li>
