JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</b></div><ul><li><p>

</b></p><p><b>Airbus US </b>Manufacturing Facility is looking for a WMP Material Handler (Contract) to join our Final Assembly Line based in <b>Mobile, AL.
</b></p><p></p><p>Reporting to the Manager, Logistics, the Material Planner is responsible for the coordination of all materials required for their respective A220 assembly position&rsquo;s activities. The WMP Material Handler will also problem-solve and escalate any issues related to part shortages. The WMP Material Handler is part of an MFT in situ at the station.<br>

</b></p><p></p><p>Nearby on &lsquo;Airbus Way&rsquo; you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus&rsquo; strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.<br>

<p><b>Your challenges:<br>
</b></p><p></p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities:
</b></p><ul><li><p>Interface with Mirabel Procurement Operations for shortage resolution via a Supply Officer.
</p></li><li><p>Coordinate materials required for rescheduling in case of planned shortages (Contingency Plan).
</p></li><li><p>Investigation in cases of missing parts (including physical search coordinated with 3PL).
</p></li><li><p>General Coordination with 3PL and on-site workshops as required.
</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with Operational Procurement on return flow.
</p></li><li><p>Support departmental adherence to KPIs related to Health &amp; Safety, Quality and Productivity.
</p></li><li><p>Participate in daily team meetings to address issues impacting Operations.
</p></li><li><p>Support implementation of procedures and work instructions to support the manufacturing and quality system.
</p></li><li><p>Actively identify opportunities and support / participate in continuous improvement initiatives, workflow consolidation and OSW inventory, including 5S.
</p></li><li><p>Support effective communication between Business Units.
</p></li><li><p>Prepare and issue relevant management reports and ensure visual management tools are maintained.
</p></li><li><p>Other duties as assigned.<br>

<p><b>Your boarding pass:
</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Diploma in any Material Management, Aerospace or Operations Management-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
</p></li><li><p>Experience with production assembly, material and work planning, and supply management.
</p></li><li><p>General knowledge of material and equipment used in the aviation industry.
</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated knowledge of shop floor safety and OSHA regulations.
</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and provide solutions.
</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of and ability to use and apply LEAN knowledge and techniques.
</p></li><li><p>Ability to enter and retrieve information using a computer (SAP and Google Suite).
</p></li><li><p>Effective verbal and written communication skills.
</p></li><li><p>Support the Manager, Logistics in the implementation, management, and monitoring of Material Management Work Processes.<br>

<p>This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.<br>

<p><b>Physical Requirements:
</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Vision: </b>Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.
</p></li><li><p><b>Hearing: </b>Able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings; Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
</p></li><li><p><b>Speaking: </b>Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
</p></li><li><p><b>Carrying: </b>Able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg while engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
</p></li><li><p><b>Lifting: </b>Able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
</p></li><li><p><b>Pushing/Pulling: </b>Able to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop floor.
</p></li><li><p><b>Sitting: </b>Able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.
</p></li><li><p><b>Squatting/Kneeling: </b>Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
</p></li><li><p><b>Standing: </b>Able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
</p></li><li><p><b>Travel/Mobility: </b>Able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time and on short notice.
</p></li><li><p><b>Walking: </b>Able to walk through office and production areas, around flightline and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces other business interactions.
</p></li><li><p><b>Space Limitations: </b>Working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet.<br>
