As a Residential Waste Collection Driver waste collection driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transportation of waste and recyclables. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.</p><ul><li>

We are seeking a <b>Waste Collection CDL Driver</b><b> </b>who will be working out of our <b>Jersey City Depot (264 Broadway, Jersey City, NJ 07306) servicing NYC Routes</b><b> </b>and reporting to the Site Manager but is also subject to supervision by Route Supervisors and Dispatchers. This is a full time, Union, non-exempt, hourly position with an overnight schedule starting anywhere between 7pm and 9pm but may vary depending on business needs. Shifts may vary from<b> </b><b>10 to 12 hours per evening</b> or until the route is complete. <b>This Depot will be servicing our NYC routes</b>.</p><p></p><p><br>
Working alongside a Helper, our Waste Collection CDL Driver&rsquo;s main responsibility is to safely operate a rear-loading truck, for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.</p>

</b></h2><div><div><div><ul><li>The driver is responsible for safely operating the truck in compliance with IWS&rsquo;s safety standards as well as OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws.</li><li>
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair.</li><li>
Ensuring that the container and its content are always secure. This includes periodically checking tarps and ties, and may require the driver to climb onto containers and/or reach overhead.</li><li>
Perform pre- and post-route inspections of assigned truck and document any safety issues on standard reports.</li><li>
Continuously monitor for safety and service-related issues, as well as containers of other equipment in need of repair, and report any issues to the Route Supervisor or Dispatch.</li><li>
All IWS employees are expected to be responsible and accountable for the safety for themselves, their colleagues, the trucks, and other equipment and property. Drivers must immediately notify Route Supervisor or Dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.</li><li>
Communicate professionally with customers and Dispatchers at all times. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and quality of service. Our Drivers must make note of and report on any such complaints and respond in a courteous and respectful manner.</li><li>
Attend all required training, operational meetings, and mandatory monthly Safety Meetings</li><li>
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards</li><li>

<div><div>We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver who can <b>operate a box truck (26 feet) across the Gastonia</b><b>, NC </b><b>area.</b> You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits.

<li>Safely <b>collecting, delivering and storing our medical waste containers at</b> customer locations</li>
<li>Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships</li>
<li>Operating vehicles in a safe manner <b>(as large as 26 ft box trucks)</b></li>
<li>Completing deliveries to time schedule, and clearly communicating changes or challenges as they arise</li>
<li>Loading and unloading \u007C Prioritizing and organizing your truck per schedule and needs</li>
<li>Managing a route per leaderships direction \u007C delivering timely, efficient and effective service</li>
<li>Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections</li>

</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>What are we looking for?</b></h3><ul>
<li><b>Delivery experience </b>within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling <b>(advantageous not mandatory)</b></li>
<li>Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week</li>
<li>Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations</li>
<li><b>Clean driving record</b></li>
<li>A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus</li>
<li>Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)</li>
<li>Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections</li>
<li>Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3</li>
<li>Proven longevity in past employment</li>
<li>On time delivery practices</li>
