Design potable water, domestic and industrial wastewater, stormwater, rainwater harvesting, and other water resources systems
<br><br>
Perform engineering analyses and calculations
<br>Prepare detailed drawings
<br>Develop engineer’s reports and plans
<br>Assemble permit applications and other regulatory reports
<br>Develop construction specifications and contracts
<br>Perform site inspections and sampling
<br>Perform construction inspections

<b>ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b><br>
Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.

<br>Perform site investigations, data collection, site surveys, and field evaluations of existing facilities, infrastructure, and property.

Career level, fully competent engineering professional with responsibility for managing detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity.
<br>Independently perform a variety of projects or selected segments of larger projects.
<br>Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
<br>Work closely with senior-level project managers to gain additional project management experience for more complex and larger projects.
<br>Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations, adaptations and modifications.
<br>Complete construction phase services, such as management of project schedule, costs, meeting attendance, and administrative tasks.
<br>Coordinate with operations and maintenance staff periodically on water and wastewater treatment system projects.
<br>Prepare proposals and reports for small and large projects of varying complexity.
<br>Perform quality control review of proposals and reports written by others.
<br>Evaluate complex laboratory and field data for inclusion in reports.
<br>Serve as a technical adviser to junior-level project team members.
<br>Interact directly with client and project team on developing scope of services, communicating project progress and findings and recommendations.
<br>Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services provided, findings, and recommendations.
<br>Participate in marketing, sales and business development.
<br>Attend meetings (remote or in-person) with clients, field staff and regulatory agencies for project support.
<br>Supervise graduate, field and project engineering staff.
<br><br>
<b>REQUIREMENTS:</b><br>
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related Engineering degree.
<br>Minimum 5-8 years’ experience.
<br>Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or ability to become licensed in Pennsylvania.
<br>Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
<br><br>
<b>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:</b><br>
5+ years’ experience in potable water, wastewater, water resources design and permitting with an engineering consulting firm or related.
<br><br>
Proficiency in technical writing and Microsoft Office Suite
<br>Team oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
<br>Excellent time management, with the ability to multitask
<br>Detail oriented with commitment to providing high quality engineering services as it related to all workspace responsibilities.
<br>Familiarity with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) permitting and design requirements for potable water and wastewater systems.
<br>Municipal Engineering Experience
<br>AutoCAD software experience
<br>Experience in field reconnaissance, survey equipment operation, data collection and analysis.
<br>Experience or openness to learn design related software as required by project need (i.e SWMM, HEC-HMS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, etc.)
<br>Construction inspection and oversight experience
<br>Willing and able to travel to project sites and meetings as needed, including long days and overnight

<div></div><div><b>PURPOSE AND ROLE: </b>The <b>Environmental Engineer &ndash; Waste / Water</b> is responsible for compliance with federal, state, local, company and refinery regulations, policies and procedures concerning solid waste, hazardous waste, wastewater and storm water programs through permitting, education, training, managing compliance programs and activities, auditing and implementing corrective and improvement measures as required.</div>
<div></div><div><b>JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></div>
<div></div><ul><li>Provide technical assistance and directions to the refinery regarding hazardous/non-hazardous waste, wastewater and storm water management and environmental, federal, state, and local regulatory reporting and recordkeeping requirements.</li>
<li>Maintain a working relationship with regulatory agencies and other local organizations.</li>
<li>Participate in the Refinery Emergency Response Team as an advisor.</li>
<li>Manage implementation of the SWPPP and SPCC plans.</li>
<li>Develop site solid waste, wastewater and storm water compliance plans and procedures.</li>
<li>Conduct assessments to track compliance with company Environmental programs and applicable governmental and industry regulations.</li>
<li>Develop waste, wastewater and storm water training bulletins and promotional activities.</li>
<li>Lead efforts in creation of waste profiles for the refinery and other facilities</li>
<li>Coordinate with subcontractors for waste handling and recycling</li>
<li>Maintain waste inventories and waste shipment manifests.</li>
<li>Maintain and inspect waste storage areas and spill response equipment.</li>
<li>Perform routine field inspections of all facilities in the organization.</li>
<li>Respond to regulatory agencies regarding SWPPP, SPCC, and waste associated with refinery operations.</li>
<li>Assist the Sr. Environmental Engineer with air compliance activities.</li>
<li>Must be willing to cross-train with other regulatory programs.</li>
<li>Must possess a current RCRA Certification for waste management.</li>
<li>Must have experience working with STEERS program.</li>
<li>Additional duties as assigned.</li>

<div></div><div><b>EXPERIENCE &amp; SKILLS: </b>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a science based field is required; equivalent related experience considered in lieu of degree. Environmental or Engineering degree preferred.</div>

<ul><li>5-7 years of solid waste, wastewater, or storm water environmental experience with a portion of that experience in the refinery/petrochemical/chemical industry. Air compliance will be a plus.</li>

<li>Good understanding of computers including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet functionality.</li>
