WHAT YOU'LL DO:
<ul><li>Must be capable of directing and managing a multi-discipline team of design engineers or technicians on water and wastewater projects.</li><li>
Will be expected to provide input to and participate in strategic planning for the team. Work closely with Business Unit management team to identify growth, project delivery, staffing and financial performance.</li><li>
Will be expected to adopt and apply all Merrick policies and procedures and to apply them on assignments.</li><li>
Work closely with clients to effectively describe and deliver scope of work.</li><li>
Prepares and oversees fee proposals for water and wastewater design work.</li><li>
Must be capable of leading design teams and performing independent planning and design tasks, reviewing the designs of others, preparing construction documents, and managing the successful delivery of assigned projects.</li><li>
Exercise initiative, judgment, and knowledge commensurate with the responsibilities of the position.</li><li>
The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with clients and community members.</li><li>

The Successful Candidate shall:<ul><li>
Demonstrate experience, in-depth knowledge, and understanding of water treatment and conveyance, wastewater treatment and conveyance, and associated infrastructure. Demonstrated design experience, familiarity with applying State and Federal regulations, and some experience with construction observation is preferred.
</li><li>Be able to demonstrate a long-term successful record of Business Development, project management, managing schedules and budgets for medium to large, complex civil engineering design efforts, and demonstrated skills for effectively working in multi-discipline engineering teams.</li><li>
Be proficient and have successfully demonstrated capabilities with client development, preparing successful proposals in collaboration with marketing and business development teams and interviews. Colorado experience is preferred by not required.</li><li>
Demonstrate successful management of design teams including design engineers, CAD technicians, and subconsultants as part of project teams.</li><li>
Foster positive relationships with clients, government agencies, and community representatives.</li><li>
Be expected to provide input to and participate in strategic planning for the team.</li><li>
Be capable of performing independent design tasks, peer reviews, preparing construction documents (i.e. design drawings, general and technical specifications), preparing both design and construction cost estimates, organizing all project deliverables, and generally managing the efforts of a project design and permitting team</li><li>
Demonstrate experience successfully working with team members who may be in different offices or different geographies from the candidate&rsquo;s home office.</li></ul>
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School.
</li><li>Must be a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Colorado or capable of registration within six months of appointment.</li><li>
Established track record of success in business development and client satisfaction</li><li>
Fifteen (15) years in infrastructure engineering and at least five (5) years of demonstrated successful experience in Project Management of Municipal, Water and Sanitation, and Special District water projects. Eight to ten years is preferred.</li><li>
Strong technical design experience in water and wastewater projects</li><li>
Proven track record of successful project delivery</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communications skill.</li><li>
Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick&rsquo;s insurance carrier.</li><li>

Job Description 
AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager to be based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Water/Wastewater Engineering Project Manager will support and lead projects for water and wastewater clients primarily in the Albuquerque area but also include national projects including planning, designing, and preparing plans related to water and wastewater infrastructure which may be comprised of water distribution and sewage collection systems, pump stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Technical oversight of design staff and team members for water and wastewater infrastructure projects including water pipelines, sewage collection systems, pump stations, storage tanks, water treatment systems, wastewater treatment systems, etc.</li><li>
Identifies new business opportunities for AECOM, coordinates and participates in project presentations to clients and other external groups, and promotes AECOM&rsquo;s capabilities, marketing its services among existing and prospective clients.</li><li>
Participates in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and the preparation of AECOM's qualification/experience statements.</li><li>
Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors and drafts complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.</li><li>
