Responsibilities
 
Search Engine Optimization Specialist, I
 
+ Build and update webpages using our enterprise-level content management system ( CMS ).
 
+ Write, edit, and optimize content in partnership with clinical stakeholders, marketing specialists, and freelance writers.
 
+ Ensure web content follows our brand and style guide as well as SEO and ADA accessibility best practices.
 
+ Conduct keyword research and content audits to recommend improvements.
 
+ Edit and update provider and location listings, fix broken links, and manage digital assets like images.
 
+ Collaborate with the Content Team and the Digital Experience Team including UX designers, SEO analysts, and marketing strategists to improve user experience and content quality.
 
+ Help monitor web analytics, SEO , and page performance to identify optimization opportunities.
 
+ Provide search result reports, identify solutions, and recommend best practices to improve search ranking, including web content, keyword target lists, page layout, design, linking, and overall site structure.
 
+ Participate in editorial processes that maintain consistency across our digital properties.
 
+ Represents the web content team where necessary at meetings or presentations.

Web User Support (all Washburn websites)

Build web pages within the CMS (AEM)/Wordpress and customize HTML/CSS code when needed while following style guidelines
</li><li>Collaborate with Business Partners to understand web content requests, seeking clarification on open questions. Act as an advisor to recommend customer-centric web design/UX improvements
</li><li>Use our project management system (Workfront) to retrieve content, complete assigned workflow steps, communicate updates to projects, and uploading URLs for review
</li><li>Complete web tactics and handle workflow and timelines of multiple, simultaneous projects based on prioritization model
</li><li>Optimize web-ready digital graphics by compositing, masking, sharpening, resizing, etc. using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Express</li><li>
Manage images, marketing documents, and videos to the appropriate asset management system for use on the website
</li><li>Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and strong SEO performance of web pages by addressing issues detected by our website crawl tool (Site Improve)
</li><li>Clean and format data from different sources to ensure consistency and usability.
</li><li>Maintain data files received from multiple sources, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s or Associate degree, and 4 or more years of hands-on experience with customer-facing web sites
</li></ul><ul><li>Hands-on experience working on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Wordpress</li><li>
Experience working on Open Text Media and Brightcove is a plus</li><li>
Good understanding of SEO principles; and familiar with HTML and CSS
</li></ul><ul><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills applicable to the position</li><li>
Ability to problem-solving and exercise judgment and independence in identifying next- steps
</li><li>Hands on experience working on project management tools like JIRA, Workfront</li><li>
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Express is a plus</li><li>
Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Macros, Charts) for data manipulation and analysis.
