This role focuses on content creation and performance-driven digital marketing across email, websites, and social media. The ideal candidate is a storyteller with a sharp eye for design and a passion for genre fiction&mdash;especially crime fiction. You&rsquo;ll help shape how readers discover books by creating engaging, visually compelling content and using data to optimize performance across channels. Primarily supporting the Novel Suspects and Open Book communities, this role offers growth opportunities across broader Executive Marketing Strategy campaigns.
The role is NYC based; HBG's current hybrid working model is three days in the office per week.
Responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Create engaging and visually appealing content (static and short-form video) for social platforms that align with brand voice and aesthetic</li><li>
Write compelling, SEO-informed copy</li><li>
Execute email marketing campaigns and assist with performance tracking</li><li>
Manage and update campaign landing pages</li><li>
Monitor engagement metrics across email, social, and web; provide insights and recommendations</li><li>
Coordinate content calendars and collaborate with imprint teams to gather assets and launch campaigns on time</li><li>
Support influencer outreach and ongoing creator communication</li><li>
Assist with virtual event planning and execution, including tech rehearsals and day-of support</li><li>
Support daily marketing operations, including project tracking and file organization</li></ul>
Skills &amp; Qualities:<ul><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Experience in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools</li><li>
Comfortable creating and editing short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Edits, etc.)</li><li>
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar)</li><li>
Basic understanding of SEO and digital performance metrics</li><li>
Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects</li><li>
Comfortable analyzing campaign data and applying insights to improve campaign content</li><li>

Job Description: 
Function of Position:
The part-time Web Developer assists in the migration, development, and maintenance of website content as Monroe Community College transitions from the TYPO3 content management system to the Modern Campus CMS. The position supports the transfer, placement, and organization of web content while ensuring compliance with Title II and ADA accessibility standards. Responsibilities may also include creating and editing web content and collaborating with staff to determine appropriate content structure and placement in alignment with college branding, usability, and web governance standards.
Examples of Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Assists with the migration of web content from the TYPO3 content management system to the Modern Campus CMS.</li><li>
Transfers, formats, and organizes website content in accordance with established templates, standards, and best practices.</li><li>
Supports the review and remediation of web content to ensure compliance with Title II and ADA accessibility requirements.</li><li>
Creates, edits, and updates web pages and related digital content as needed.</li><li>
Collaborates with marketing, web, and campus stakeholders to determine appropriate content structure and placement.</li><li>
Assists in maintaining website organization, navigation, and overall usability.</li><li>
Performs basic quality assurance testing to identify and resolve content, formatting, or accessibility issues.</li><li>
Follows college branding, style, and web governance guidelines.</li><li>

Required Qualifications:
