Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>

Monitors welding and evaluates its compliance with Project requirements and applicable codes and standards.</li><li>

Participates in audits of site infrastructure construction, welding and associated processes.</li><li>
Supports the Customer&rsquo;s Quality Organization in the performance of Quality inspections (general and targeted) of Project Contractors and Subcontractors.</li><li>

Experience and Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>

Valid qualification as a welding inspector, welding engineer, or welding supervisor.</li><li>
Valid qualification as an NDT inspector at least level II is a plus.</li><li>

Primary duties will include the visual welding inspection of poles and heavy structural steel assemblies for compliance to the specified detail drawings as well as AWS and AISC specifications.</p>

Reports and maintains inspection results. Prepares documentation required by the customer for certification that all quality procedures were followed.</p>

Performs in-process weld inspections on poles and heavy structural steel welded assemblies.</p>

Monitoring, and executing activities related to ensuring that inspections of welded assemblies are completed to the requirements of applicable specifications and codes.</p>

Reads new project specifications.</p>

Is responsible for assisting the Quality Control Manager in administering the AISC program at assigned plant. Ensures that ALL production-related employees understand and follow applicable AISC standards, and that the shop is prepared for the annual AISC audit. Support the Quality Control Manager during AISC audits.</p>

Works with other QA/QC inspectors to organize inspection work to be done on a daily and weekly basis.</p>
<p>
Assists in identifying and solving quality non-conformances in a timely and cost-effective manner.</p>

Assists shop employees with questions and clarifications on QC issues as needed.</p>

Works with QA/QC team to ensure the quality control program designed to make sure continuous production of products consistent with established standards is implemented and being followed.
