 You will possess either an engineering degree in Environment or Chemical and/or an equivalent diploma from an accredited college or university. This is an essential contractual requirement.

 Minimum years of total minimum work experience post qualification within the Oil &amp; Gas or petrochemical industry, with exposure to heavy oil projects. Upstream onshore experience is preferred.

Primary objective

Specific Accountabilities<ul><li>
Monitor the EPC contractor HSE Management System and provide advice and assistance to EPC HSE managers so they comply in a consistent way to reduce the risk to the project employees and the environment.</li><li>
Ensure the EPC contractors develop implement and maintain a specific project Risk Management Plan.</li><li>
Ensure EPC contractor subcontractor selection (ITB) processes are developed and implemented on a timely basis in accordance with KOC expectations.</li><li>
Provide advice and guidance to the EPC contractor management team on HSE issues through the interpretation of KOC policies and statutory requirements.</li><li>

The contract serves to support KOC to achieve its objectives of reaching optimum capacity in its oilfields and enhancing its facilities by the most efficient and economical means available.
The contract aims to provide project management, co-ordination, planning, design, engineering, construction management, contracting, procurement, project controls and other services for construction of new oil field facilities, up-grading of existing facilities, and transfer of technology.

Qualification(s) and/or Experience
<ul>
<li>You will possess a degree from an accredited university; this is an essential contractual requirement.</li>
<li>You will have minimum work experience post qualification within the Oil &amp; Gas or petrochemical industry with exposure to heavy oil projects; environmental project experience is preferred.</li>
<li>You will have a minimum years of post-graduate work experience in a related designation / specialty within a GCC country. The GCC countries referred to here are: The State of Kuwait, The Kingdom of Bahrain, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Sultanate of Oman, The State of Qatar, and The United Arab Emirates.</li>
<li>You will have experience working with remediation technologies for oil-contaminated soil.</li>
<li>You must have experience in developing strategies for Remediation programs. You will have the ability to interact effectively with people of all nationalities &amp; cultures while using clear, fluent, and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas; an individual with excellent communication and people skills, a consummate developer of relationship(s) on a sustainable and long-term basis.</li>
<li>You should have experience in environmental issues in design, construction or operation of landfill installations, including handling permits for plants, utilities, water treatment, wastewater treatment, petrochemicals, oilfield production and related hazardous disposals. Shall be capable of assisting / preparing Environmental Impact Assessment, conceptual site Modelling, Environmental Control for projects and ensure compliance during all stages of the Project.</li>
<li>You will be willing to engage and manage clients as required by the needs of the business and if deemed necessary by the Worley management.</li>

 What You'll Do

 Management, control, coordination and supervision services as well as assistance for the assigned project inclusive of budget formulation, cost control and quality assurance.
 </li>

 Management of support services for supervising and directing engineering, procurement and management of construction contractors appointed by the Client.
 </li>

 Management of services for Oil &amp; Gas production activities including start-up and initial operations assistance as well as operational personnel and systems as required by the Client.
 </li>

 Reports to the Line Manager and is authorized to deputize for him during his absence with a proven track record of managing multi-projects in general and Design &amp; Engineering and Construction function in particular, in the oil and gas industry
 </li>
 <li>
 Is responsible for developing the overall strategy for soil remediation in the assigned areas, it includes contracting strategies and management of contractors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects such as FEED (front end engineering design) studies and preparation, ITB (invitation to bid) check estimate preparation, LSTK (lump sum turnkey) tender package preparation are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as primary technical coordination interface with client to ensure that the client&rsquo;s expectations are satisfied.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure the project conforms to the client&rsquo;s approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulatory and code requirements.
