</p><p><b>Workshop Technician (Wheels and brakes) </b>will be responsible for carrying out maintenance/ calibration tasks on Emirates and third party aircraft components/ tools and equipment in accordance with company procedures and regulations. The job holder works as part of a team under the direction and guidance of the assigned supervisor/ Engineer within the appropriate trade/cross trade disciplines for which they have been trained.<br>

<p><b>In this role you will:
</b></p><ul><li>Carry out routine component/ tools servicing and calibration/ maintenance /modification and, or approved structural repairs compliant to manufacturers procedures whilst observing all safety procedures.
</li><li>Complete any component / tools maintenance and other tasks as assigned by immediate Supervisor/ Engineers. This will include the ability to obtain and understand Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), standard Practice Manual (SPM), Quality Manual ISO/IEC 17025 or other approved documentation required to carry out the task.
</li><li>Assist supervisor/ Engineers in trouble shooting, defect rectifications and carrying out modifications while performing instructions contained in the job card.
</li><li>Ensure all work locations are kept clean and maintain excellent housekeeping. Participate and promote in creating a safety culture in an effort to minimise accidents and highlight any deficiencies/failures that can lead to such accidents. This includes being aware and communicating safety shortfalls. Maintain vigilance in ensuring work areas (including the ramp), vehicles, stands, lockers are free of FOD and that toolboxes are regularly audited, maintained and kept clean.
</li><li>Ensure prompt attendance to all allocated tasks with the intent to reduce TAT and avoid operational delays/disruptions. Should be able to communicate any aircraft/ component/ structural defects found to the supervisor/ Engineer in an expedient manner and ensure during shift handovers all required information is clearly passed to the staff taking over.
</li><li>Enable to perform testing, verifications, services to monitor, assist and support all Overhaul/Repair/Refurbishment/Inspection &amp; Calibration tasks required as per special procedures and manuals used in respective workshop.

</b></p><p>Degree in Engg in Aeronautical subjects/Mechanical/Avionics/Electronic/Tech Engineering OR Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence OR Engineering Apprenticeship.
</p><p>-5+ Years of post qualification experience in aviation field, out of which minimum 2 years should be in workshop environment e.g. W&amp;B, Avionics, Cabin, Structures or Calibration, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Fuel &amp; Oil, Landing Gear.
</p><p>Wheel and Brake Shop:
</p><p>-Working knowledge of special procedures used in Wheel &amp; Brake shop like Plastic media Blasting, Shot peening, paint touch up.
</p><p>-Should be able to handle motorised equipment like Lifters overhead cranes, to be used within the shop floor.
</p><p>-Fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards.

Workshop Technician (Wheels and Brakes)

</div><div>Assist the ALSE Supervisor to accomplish aviation unit, and intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all aviation life support equipment (ALSE) Including Night Vision Goggles.<br>

Will also be responsible for:<br>

1. Remove, replace, service, prepare, preserve, clean, and store ALSE / NVG equipment.
<br>
2. Performs scheduled periodic maintenance inspections on ALSE / NVG equipment including but not limited to Aviation helmets, oxygen mask equipment, survival vests, first aid kits, head sets, Life rafts, night vision devices, survival radios, survival packs and pyrotechnics, in accordance with directives, technical publications and approved procedures.

3. Checks ALSE records to ensure inspections are completed in a timely manner in accordance with all applicable manuals.<br>
4. Works with individual aviators and crewmembers to ensure proper fit and use of the ALSE / NVG equipment.<br>
5. Requisition of all ALSE / NVG parts, and maintain shop and bench stock for the repair of ALSE / NVG equipment.<br>
6. Inspects and prepares forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751 and internal (JAC) regulations.<br>
7. Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the ALSE equipment.<br>
8. Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.

Chemical Warfare will be considered as an asset.<br>
