About the Opportunity:
<div>The Department of Juvenile Services is looking for our next B ilingual Juvenile Counselor II to help further our mission to protect the public by reducing delinquency and restor ing victims and the community by holding youth accountable. All candidates with Spanish/English bilingual skills are invited to apply.
</div><div>As a Juvenile Counselor II, you will work directly with youth and families navigating the juvenile justice system while supporting behavior al change, coordinating services, and representing the department in court.
This is a hands-on job that is impactful work for professionals who want to make a difference with structure, ethics, and support. You will be able to build working relationships with youth and families to support positive changes, supervise youth on probation or informal supervision, conduct assessments and create case plans that balance accountability, growth, and safety. You will also be coordinating with schools, service providers, attorneys, and community partners. In addition , you will prepar e court reports and confidently represent your cases in court.

</div><div>Washington County Juvenile Services Department is dedicated to promoting community safety, supporting youth accountability, and fostering positive youth development. We provide comprehensive case management, supervision, and rehabilitative services to youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Our team works collaboratively with families, schools, law enforcement, and community partners to create individualized interventions that support long - term success. </div><div>Bilingual Positions: Designated bilingual positions require that the incumbent have knowledge of another language besides English. It is required to possess precise writing skills (including spelling, grammar, and punctuation), fluent speaking skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Upon successfully passing the applicable proficiency assessment test in a selected language, employees will receive bilingual pay in the amount of five percent (5%) of their base pay rate, exclusive of any other incentive pay, or a flat rate of seventy-five dollars ($75) per pay period, whichever is greater.

Education and Experience :
<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in counseling, psychology, sociology, social work, or a field applicable to the practice of juvenile justice; AND one (1) year of experience working with juveniles and families in the counseling and case management of juveniles and families; OR
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in counseling, psychology, sociology, social work, or a field applicable to the practice of juvenile justice; AND three (3) years of experience working with juveniles and families in the counseling and case management of juveniles and families; OR

Program Overview:
Intercept&reg;, developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based intensive, in-home program that focuses on keeping families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification after such placements, including foster care, residential treatment facilities, hospitalization, or juvenile detention centers. It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children. 
 
This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family&rsquo;s home and community&ndash;Intercept&reg; is not an office-based program. 
 
Intercept provides intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family&rsquo;s unique needs, ultimately helping them achieve lasting change through evidence-based mental health interventions, along with the development of new parenting and communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The PRN Community-Based Counselor:<ul><li>
Carries a small case loas as assigned by supervisory on an as-needed basis</li><li>
Holds individual and family sessions with each family 3 times a week, scheduled at the convenience of the families</li><li>

Program Overview:
Youth Villages' residential programs in Tennessee and Georgia provide safe, nurturing environments for youth ages 6 to 17 with complex behavioral and mental health challenges. These programs are offered across three types of facilities&mdash;secure facilities, open campuses, and group homes&mdash;each designed to meet the individual needs of youth exhibiting a range of referral behaviors, including aggression, self-harm, suicidal ideations, and problem sexual behavior. 
Our residential campuses deliver an intensive treatment program that strikes a unique balance between structure and freedom, all while preparing youth for continued success outside of a residential setting. A key focus is to help each youth step down to the least restrictive treatment option possible by developing the skills they need to thrive in less structured environments through trauma-informed care, clinical interventions, life skills building, and recreation therapy (in selection locations). Most youth also attend fully accredited schools located on our campuses, ensuring their educational progress continues alongside therapeutic support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The PRN Residential Master's Level Counselor:<ul><li>
Works directly with 8 to 12 youth daily</li><li>
Utilizes evidence-based practices when providing individual, group and family therapy to each resident</li><li>

PRN Community-Based Counselor

<div>Starting Salary: $55,000

 Summary

At Pace we transform girls&rsquo; lives through academic and counseling programs based on a gender-responsive, strength-based and trauma informed framework. Team members create a safe place for girls to learn, grow, and heal.
The counselor role provides prevention services to girls that includes social emotional support, intensive care (case) management, crisis counseling, and psycho-educational groups to girls. This position is aimed at helping girls decrease risk-related behaviors.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from four-year College or University with a Major in Social Work, Psychology, and Mental Health, Counseling, or a related field</li>

</li></ul><ul><li>Assess and address needs and strengths through holistic assessment, goal setting, and care planning
</li></ul><ul><li>Utilize the Transtheoretical Model of Change, considering any history of trauma and leveraging girls&rsquo; strengths
</li></ul><ul><li>Provide bi-weekly counseling services to girls using guidance, support, collaboration, skill acquisition, and psycho-educational services
</li></ul><ul><li>Provide psycho-educational groups that are girl-centered, focusing on social-emotional and life skill development
</li></ul><ul><li>Provide monthly family support/counseling with caregivers to encourage girl progression in the change process and to work with natural supports
</li></ul><ul><li>Provide solution-focused counseling approaches toward the resolution of risk factors for substance abuse following the standards of the Florida Administrative Codes Chapter 65D-30

(BCI) is seeking applicants for the Community Action Treatment (CAT) Team Counselor who will work with a multi-disciplinary team that provides intensive, comprehensive community-based services to youths ages eleven (11) to twenty-one (21). The CAT Team is a safe and effective alternative to out-of-home placement for children with serious behavioral health challenges. The CAT Team supports the goals of the youth and family by enabling them to sustain themselves within their family system and community.Youth involved in the juvenile justice system are required to receive and are benefited from mental health and substance use services. These services include peer-led, social-skills groups and opportunities to practice those skills in the thoughtful decision-making. If you are willing to take the challenge of leading a group of eight to ten teenagers with criminal charges as they navigate anger management and the decision-making process regarding their substance use, in addition, be willing to attend court and meet kids individually to assess their mental health and substance use needs; and finally, provide case management thorough collaboration with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and connection to community resources to assist youth in compliance with probation sanctions and expectations, this is a position for you.The CAT Team Therapist provides services that help referred families and clients link to needed medical, social, educational, psychiatric, psychological, and other services.
