The Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) provides education, leadership development, behavioral health, intervention, street outreach, and workforce development services to San Francisco youth and their families. Position Description:</b><br>
Under the direction of the Site Coordinator, the Assistant Site Coordinator (ASC) is responsible for providing supervision, operations support, development and implementation of the CYC&rsquo;s Dianne Feinstein After School Program. They will work as a team to build a positive and supportive environment for school aged kindergarten to fifth grade youth.<br>
<br>
<b>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><ul><li>
Support the day-to-day operations management of the program to ensure high quality programs and meet program compliance.</li><li>
Assist Site Coordinator with administrative duties</li><li>
Provide guidance and coordination support to program staff that will encompass but not limited to: academic assistance, fitness and recreation, snack and supper support, age and developmentally appropriate enrichment curriculum activities for transitional kindergarten to fifth grade students</li><li>
Support Site Coordinator in overseeing facilities management plans to include safety protocols, space organization and cleanliness policies, open and close up procedures and ensure accountability for overall participant /site safety at all times.</li><li>
Provide program coverage for staff absences.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with the school leadership team, community partners, and faculty to design and align programs to support the school&rsquo;s goals for student development, academic achievement, social and emotional learning.</li><li>
Support Site Coordinator in data collection, conducting observations, and use of assessments and feedback for ongoing program improvement.</li><li>
Assist in managing student recruitment, enrollment, scheduling and registration procedures to meet program attendance goals.</li><li>
Lead and assist staff with conflict mediations, using restorative practices, communicating with school and parents on student issues.</li><li>
Contribute to building a strong sense of team with program staff, interns, and volunteers.</li><li>
Build and maintain a high level of communication and positive relationships with all stakeholders &ndash; youth, school staff, parents, families, community partners and funders.</li><li>
Respond promptly and professionally to all stakeholder inquiries.</li><li>
Make contact with parents/caregivers in a professional and consistent manner to advise parents on youths' progress and challenges.</li><li>
Support Site Coordinator to ensure all participant records are complete, organized, and on file to meet funder compliance.</li><li>
Support Site Coordinator in submitting all required documentation on a timely basis, including but not limited to: program reports, evaluations, monthly EMS/CMS attendance data entry, snack reports, etc.</li><li>
Organize and manage all necessary supplies and materials for programs.</li><li>
Participate in all meetings, workshops, and activities organized by CYC and funding agencies.</li><li>
Support organization events and do other duties as assigned by supervisor or CYC management.</li></ul><div></div><div><b>
QUALIFICATIONS:</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in relevant fields preferred plus one year of youth development experience or Associate Degree with 2 years of proven experience in youth development/after school programming.</li><li>
One year of staff supervision experience is preferred.</li><li>
Experience in teaching using virtual platforms.</li><li>
Experience in classroom management, conflict mediation, and restorative practices is a plus.</li><li>
Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).</li><li>
Ability to interact with diverse groups of constituents.</li><li>
Good organizational skills such as: records keeping, event planning, space scheduling and coordination, computer/internet use, and administrative skills.</li><li>
Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and do data analysis.</li><li>
Capacity to multi-task, work independently, and meet strict programmatic deadlines.</li><li>
Ability to model to staff and participants: professionalism, personal responsibility, a strong work ethic and positive character.</li><li>
Bilingual in Cantonese, Mandarin and Spanish is preferred.</li><li>

Responsibilities:

The MAC Youth Coordinator</b> will plan and implement the daily operations and activities of the MAC grant through NYS OTDA. Recruit program participants for participation in career awareness activities, tutoring, socialization activities, health and financial literacy workshops, and other youth development activities. Students will be from refugee backgrounds. Develop, plan and manage activities for refugee youth ages 15-24 years old focused on academics, health, career development, financial literacy and social integration. Recruit mentors in the community to work with refugee youth and coordinate direct activities that support youth in developing their skills in the above listed five categories. Develop programs and activities for refugee youth after school and on weekends and provide support for youth and their families, as needed. Create lesson plans and instructional activities using resources that focus on English learning and social adjustment, including engaging youth in interesting activities and discussions. Oversee and coordinate Recreational Activities, Summer Academy and other youth programming with youth staff, volunteers, interns and mentors. Gather information and help clients complete intake forms. Assist youth program staff with academic support activities such as facilitating communication between schools and families, arranging homework assistance, tutoring, English classes and Regents test preparation to promote academic success of the refugee students. Assist youth program staff in organizing social and educational activities like cooking, art, music, sports, STEM activities and holiday parties. Assist youth program staff in planning field trips and other recreational activities. Communicate with parents regularly about the activities of the program. Act as advocates for the youth and assist families use email, apps, other technology to stay notified of Syracuse City School District communications. Serve as advocate and resource for program, staff, and program participants. Monitor expenses and use of program assets. Establish short and long-term program objectives and ensure grant requirements are met. Insure the maintenance and timely completion of all program statistics and reports, including case notes and billing points in NYS BIN system. Hold weekly team meetings. Work collaboratively with Refugee Resettlement and other Refugee Youth Program staff. Work as a team member in implementation of all youth programming at Northside CYO. Transport Clients in agency vehicle as needed and maintain a safe driving record. Follow all CCOC volunteer policy and NYS guidelines for youth mentors and volunteers. Maintain guidelines established by the funding sources and agency policies and procedures and any other duties as assigned.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

The VISTA Summer Associates will collaborate with community partners to find age appropriate activities to build social, emotional self-esteem, educational activities to help negate summer learning loss. Summer Associate AFS Skeels VISTA

<div>BuildaBridge is a 28-year-old Philadelphia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing trauma-informed arts programming to marginalized youth and their communities. BuildaBridge uniquely positions creative expression as trauma healing through art-making. We serve 600+ youth annually through partnerships with recreation centers, schools, and human service organizations in Philadelphia's highest-need neighborhoods. Our pedagogical approach, the BuildaBridge Safe Spaces Model (SSM) uses creative self-expression (music, movement, visual arts, writing) to build resilience, self-efficacy, and hope in youth who have experienced trauma (directly, vicariously, and generationally). Grounded in Hope Theory, Polyvagal Theory, and the Capabilities Approach, programming provides accessible alternatives to clinical mental health systems that often create barriers for low-income families. We function as &quot;pre-responders,&quot; intervening before youth enter systems that can traumitize and retraumatize. Our evaluation demonstrates impact: 82% increased hopefulness, 85% improved self-efficacy, 91% stronger community connections. With an annual budget under $200,000, our lean structure allows flexibility while maintaining consistent quality through our trauma-informed training protocols. Key partnerships include the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime &amp; Delinquency, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, the School District of Philadelphia (certified supplier), JFCS Mental Health Network, and recreation centers serving violence-affected neighborhoods. Major Duties
<br><br>
<b>What to Expect:</b><br>
Orients new CYP professionals to the child and youth system and provides basic information that can be applied in all program settings.
<br>Ensures implementation and execution of the Marine Corps standardized curriculum within the Child Development Program (CDP).
<br>Provides support for CYP professionals in preparing for inspections and accreditation.
<br>Supervises employees to include assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol and substance abuse and take appropriate action.
<br>May assume the responsibilities of the CYP Director and perform duties and requirements of the position.
<br>Operate independently with minimum supervision toward overall objectives of the programs.
<br>Coordinates with CYP Directors to establish training plans and a schedule for professional training.

What are we looking for?

A 4-year degree in Early Childhood Education or Child/Youth Development or a related field such as Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Consumer Science (Early Childhood emphasis) AND 3 years of full-time experience working with children and/or youth.
<br><br>
OR
<br><br>
A combination of education (at least 24 semester hours) and experience, or additional course work, that that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above AND 3 years of full-time experience working with children and/or youth.
<br>Knowledge of early childhood or youth education principles, concepts, and techniques to develop, interpret, monitor, and evaluate the execution of curriculum and age-appropriate activities.
<br>Knowledge of adult learning techniques and strategies and experience training adult learners.
<br>Ability to support DoD certification, accreditation, and staff credentialing (Child Development Associate (CDA), Associate of Arts (AA) Degree) by ensuring that required training is administered and successfully accomplished to meet statutory and program requirements.

Under the supervision of the Support Services Program Manager, the <b>Education &amp; Employment Case Manager </b>will be responsible for supporting all aspects of 1:1 education programming throughout Urban Peak. The Education Case Manager will also be responsible for collaboration with Program Case Management to ensure ongoing education &amp; employment needs are met, the creation of education &amp; employment case plans for youth, as well as collaboration with the Education &amp; Employment Coordinator. This includes but is not limited to: GED subject test preparation and tutoring, high school re-enrollment support, additional tutoring and homework support, being a direct contact with education community partners who work in our building with youth (Ex: Field Academy, Zero Drop Outs), and providing classroom support during designated classroom times.<br>

This position will also develop individual employment plans with youth and collaborate with other agencies and Urban Peak departments to identify and meet career goals with Urban Peak youth. Other duties include: facilitating education &amp; employment hours as needed; providing youth with ongoing support, mentoring, and job coaching; working with the coordinator to identify resources for youth to develop skills and connect youth with those resources; working shelter floor shifts as assigned; and coordinating floor programming.<br>

Additionally, the Education &amp; Employment Case Manager will collaborate with the Education &amp; Employment Coordinator in all other aspects of team programming, assist in program facilitation in a manner that accommodates youth and staff safety, coordinate with other Urban Peak staff on youth service plans and goals, collect and input client documentation and service data, and work on other duties as assigned and needed/assigned.<br>

Who You Are:</b></div><ul><li>
A master&rsquo;s degree in social work, psychology, or child development or education or counseling AND a minimum of two (2) years&rsquo; treatment-oriented or case management experience; OR a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in behavioral science, human services, education or counseling or related fields AND three (3) years&rsquo; experience working with children/youth; OR 5 years&rsquo; full-time (FT) experience with homeless or runaway youth.</li><li>
Experience in teaching or counseling preferred.</li><li>
The ability to connect well, work effectively, and communicate in a culturally responsive manner with a diverse youth population.</li><li>
An understanding of trauma informed care and harm reduction principles and an ability to implement these approaches.</li><li>
Ability to handle multiple tasks and to assess and change priorities based upon agency and client needs, in an environment that sometimes includes interpersonal conflict and chaos.</li><li>
Confidence in timely and accurate data collection and the ability to maintain accurate and thorough client files (this position will utilize Salesforce).</li><li>
Able to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team and work with collaborating agencies.</li><li>

Oversee delivery of responsibilities, professional development, and skills gain/examination process for youth training participants.</li><li>
Set and keep specific training and job search hours and assist in check in&rsquo;s with employed youth.</li><li>
Work with staff to recruit and engage any youth interested in education and employment programming at Urban Peak.</li><li>
