Understand that academics are priority</li><li>
Be alert to your student-athletes' academic performance</li><li>
Develop team rules and expectations and communicate these with team &amp; parents</li><li>
Provide schedules for practices, tournaments and games</li><li>
Communicate change in season schedule in a timely manner</li><li>
Be on time and come prepared for all practices and games</li><li>
Maintain current CPR/First Aid certificates and TB clearance</li><li>
Encourage all student-athletes to do their best</li><li>
Apply all school and team rules to all student-athletes equally</li><li>
Be professional in all actions and words</li><li>
Create a positive environment for the team</li><li>
Communicate with individual student-athletes as to their role on the team</li><li>
Clearly communicate all NFHS, CIF, SDUHSD, Conference, and team rules to student-athletes and parents</li><li>
Return parent phone calls/emails in a timely manner</li><li>
Communicate with parents as soon as possible regarding any injuries to a student-athlete in the absence of an athletic trainer</li><li>
Explain vacation/absence policy</li><li>
Allow student-athletes time away from practice to make-up tests due to athletic competition or to attend tutoring</li><li>
Off-campus walk-on coaches must turn in their keys in order to get paid</li><li>
All coaches must get permission from their Athletic Director to use district facilities out of season</li><li>
Maintain CIF HOME and MAX PREP results/stats</li><li>
Input Schedule into Arbiter, if required by sport assignor</li><li>
