Position Summary</h3>
Queens Community House is seeking a Youth Development Specialist to provide direct support to high school students in a school-based setting. This role focuses on academic monitoring, attendance support, student engagement, and career exploration.
This position is ideal for an early-career or entry-level candidate interested in education, social services, or youth development. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young people, is reliable and organized, and is comfortable communicating with students, families, and colleagues.

The YSB has a full-time position open providing services to at-risk youth, grades 6-12, and to all Jay County youth who may not feel safe in their home. Applicant must possess a high school diploma. Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Sociology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or other directly related human service field is preferred. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license. Applicant should be passionate about giving back to the community, have the ability to effectively tutor middle school/high school age youth, and be able to maintain a flexible work schedule. EOE.<ul><li>Complete and maintain all necessary documentation and paperwork for youth and families enrolled in KARSS Program. Including Intake, Discharge, Follow-up, Plan for Service, Consent for Release of Confidential Information, Transportation consents, Quarterly Reports, Evaluations, etc., as directed by immediate supervisor, and meeting accreditation criteria.</li><li>Maintain appointments with youth daily or as often as schedule will permit. Meet with the family as needed, but at least monthly, with appointments set up one week in advance.</li><li>Organize, schedule, transport to and from, and assist youth with community service activity.  Job Summary
 
 
 
 Supports Young Adults (YA) who have experienced chronic homelessness and are living with a chronic health condition such as substance use disorder, mental illness, or other disabling condition often coming from systems-involved experience of care such as foster care, homelessness, disconnection from school, juvenile justice, and/or other systems in developing the skills to live independently. Provides general support to YA in independent housing and makes connections to other supports such as mental health, health and wellness, education, employment/career development, technology, or other designated field and supports them in achieving their goals. Provides information and referral services. Creates a welcoming and supportive environment at the YMCA.
 
 
 The Home at Last program is a permanent supportive housing project for 23 YA ages 18 and up in King County. Clients are all exiting homelessness and are referred through the Coordinate Entry system. The goal for participants in this project is to gain independent living skills and ultimately to acquire a housing voucher or the ability to pay market rent themselves and build up a support system so that they are able to move on from the program with lasting supports in place.
 
 
 This position is at the Social Impact Center Y, the social services branch of YMCA of Greater Seattle (YGS). The mission of the Social Impact Center Y is to accelerate young people&rsquo;s ability to build safe, successful, and happy lives. Every year, we serve 5,000 children, youth, young adults, and families across King County with programs that aim to strengthen young people&rsquo;s ability to develop to their fullest potential through four strategies: reducing risk factors; navigating systems towards successful life transition; ensuring stability, safety and wellness in times of crisis; and building competencies and social capital. The Social Impact Center Y&rsquo;s programs include housing, behavioral health, foster care licensing, violence prevention, education, and employment. Many of the young people we serve have had involvement in the foster care, criminal justice system, and/or homelessness systems.
