Seasonal Assistant Buyer

The Seasonal Assistant Buyer is responsible for assisting the Buyer in developing the assortment direction and delivering product that is trend-relevant and has a strong price-value for their assigned categories, keeping a pulse on latest trends, influencers, aspirational and competitive landscape for their categories, maintaining strong relationships with vendor community through sample organization.

What You’ll Do

• Assist Buyers in Assortment planning and sales analysis

• Run reporting and update all systems necessary to maintain dept function

• Maintain Buy Sheets to match On Order

• Scout new samples/vendors to recommend products to be sold on Lulus.com

• Attend all internal business and creative meetings with the knowledge to speak on respective categories

• Attend vendor meetings as needed

• Attend fittings for respective categories and maintain any notes in the Developer PP doc

• Execution of promotions as needed

• Purchase Order creation and maintenance, as needed

• Other duties as assigned

• Track and maintain all samples for respective category

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience

• 1-2 years of relevant retail buying experience

• Professional, positive attitude

• Sense of urgency, highly detailed, and experience in meeting deadlines

• Excellent communication; written, oral and group facilitation

• Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and managers at all times

• Works well under pressure

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive

• Ability to apply logical thinking and sound judgment to a wide range of practical problems

• Thorough knowledge of trends and fashion

• Keen understanding of the Lulus Customer

• Retail math skills
