Seasonal Attorney - Property Tax

Job Description:

Dooley Noted Law is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and self-sufficient attorney licensed in Texas to assist with Property Tax Dispute matters. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely while managing a focused caseload in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, communicating with clients, and handling matters from initial review through resolution. Preference will be given to candidates who are also licensed in Georgia or Florida. Experience in Probate or Family Law is a plus but not required.

This position provides the opportunity to work within a flexible firm structure while receiving the support of an experienced legal team.

Although this is a seasonal position, depending on performance, their is opportunity for potential full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Independently manage property tax dispute matters from intake through resolution, ensuring timely and accurate case handling.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear, professional, and consistent communication throughout the process.
  • Legal Review and Analysis: Review property tax assessments, supporting documentation, and applicable law to evaluate case strategy and potential outcomes.
  • Negotiation and Resolution: Communicate with taxing authorities and relevant parties to resolve disputes efficiently and effectively.
  • Documentation and Drafting: Prepare correspondence, filings, settlement documentation, and other necessary legal materials.
  • Time Management: Manage workload and deadlines to ensure timely case progress while maintaining high-quality work standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure consistency, efficiency, and strong client service.
  • Ethics and Professionalism: Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and ethical responsibility in all matters.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Texas Bar license and in good standing.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters efficiently.
  • Licensed in Georgia or Florida is a plus, but not required
  • Experience in Probate or Family Law is a plus, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $4,000/m - Monthly stipend plus performance based bonuses at the end of term.
