Seasonal Bartender/Server

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team at Willamette Valley's only waterfront restaurant, Territory - Located in The Independence Hotel. This position is SEASONAL, and will last until September 2026.The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for our guests by providing exceptional service, crafting delicious cocktails, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
• Engage with customers, taking drink orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Manage inventory levels by tracking supplies and placing orders as necessary to ensure the bar is well-stocked.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods or special events such as banquets.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while serving drinks and handling food items.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills to efficiently serve multiple customers in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous bartender experience is a must; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong hospitality skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for guests.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing inventory effectively.
• Familiarity with restaurant or retail math concepts is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Knowledge of various cocktail recipes and bartending techniques is advantageous.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Must have valid OLCC permit and Food Handlers card.
