Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist pit boss in loading of required catering equipment and food to successfully execute each offsite catering event.
  • Basic food preparation; storing food safely before and during events.
  • Follows all packaging and loading guidelines to arrive to service at confirmed time.
  • Set up of service line, serve food to guests at events, keeping serve areas clean and presentable throughout service.
  • Clearly understands correct procedures in serving Guests with allergens and dietary restrictions.
  • Break down of service line and clean up of area at event.
  • Unloading and washing of all catering equipment once service is complete and staff has arrived back at restaurant.
  • For private events at the restaurant, move tables and chairs according to diagram.
  • Assists other Team members in meeting Guest needs, providing cooperative service and following safety standards.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities according to the Company’s written Employment Guidelines, including Performance Expectations and Dress/Style/Grooming Guidelines.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all Guest service issues. Communicates Guest issues to pit boss for prompt corrective action as appropriate.
  • Treats all Guests, Team Members, and Managers with the greatest degree of respect and courtesy. Maintains a friendly and cooperative attitude while at work. Portrays a favorable image of Dinosaur Bar-B-Que at all times.
  • Performs related tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly work weekend. Scheduled shifts may vary from early morning to late night.
  • Must be able to speak and follow written and verbal communications, along with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of Restaurant, Hospitality or Retail experience preferred.
  • Alcohol certification.
  • Food handler’s certification.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
