Seasonal Event & Part Time Barista

Job Description

AmberLuLu Bubble Tea & Desserts is hiring Seasonal Event & Part-Time Baristas to support our busy spring through fall event season.

This role is primarily focused on events and our mobile boba food truck, with occasional opportunities to work in our café as needed. You’ll serve customers at festivals, markets, and community events in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

This is a seasonal position expected to run through October 2026, based on our event schedule.

We are looking for dependable, flexible team members who enjoy customer service and can thrive during busy event days.

Job Type

Hours

• Typically 10–30+ hours per week, depending on event schedule
• Flexible scheduling based on availability
• Must be available weekends and holidays
• Event shifts may range from 5 to 12+ hours

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve bubble tea and desserts according to AmberLuLu standards
• Provide friendly, engaging customer service
• Work efficiently during high-volume event service
• Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately
• Assist with food truck setup and breakdown
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Work in outdoor event environments and occasional in-store shifts
• Support team members to ensure smooth service
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines

Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Ability to work long shifts (5 to 12+ hours)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Comfortable working in fast-paced and outdoor environments
• Reliable transportation for event travel
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, or food service experience
• Experience working events, festivals, or food trucks
• Strong customer service skills

Compensation

After completing training, baristas may choose one of the following pay structures:

Option 1: Fixed Pay Rate
$11.00 to $15.00 per hour based on experience and availability

Option 2: Base Pay + Tips
$11.00 to $13.50 per hour plus tips

Tips may significantly increase total earnings during busy events.
