New Hire Requirements
Available to attend employee orientation in-person. New hire orientation will include hands-on training for barista station, cashiering, stocking shelves, washing and packing produce, plus an overview of our company perks, policies, and expectations.
New hires must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Amber Waves is not able to sponsor foreign working visas.
Applicants under the age of 18 must be able to provide copies of working papers and maintain good academic standing in order to be eligible for employment. All scheduled shifts for minors will be in compliance with local labor laws.
We’re a farm: All positions require physical demands including: standing/walking for long periods of time over uneven surfaces; exposure to heat, cold, or wet environments, working in and outdoors with exposure to the elements, repetitive motion such as lifting, kneeling, or bending; and carrying up to 50lbs at a time, with or without assistance.

Seasonal Produce Associate
Job Description:
Amber Waves is seeking enthusiastic full time & part-time associates to join our Produce team for the 2026 season. Produce team members will fulfill back of house and front of house duties as needed, working in the market and/or in the wash station. This position reports to the Produce Manager, Post Harvest Manager & Market Managers. The ideal candidate should possess a high level of customer service, a positive attitude and a passion for produce.
Core Responsibilities:
Front of House (retail floor):
Prepare, organize, stage and maintain produce at each phase post harvest Maintain a clean, safe, and appealing environment for staff and customers
Stock the sales floor, properly rotate items FIFO (first in first out)
Assist in creating and updating displays to rearrange, fill gaps, or make room for new items
Monitor produce quality to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage, remove & record spoils as needed
Update signage, ensuring proper display of each produce item
Maintain high level of customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers
Treat team members, managers and customers with kindness and respect
Back of House (processing areas):
Responsible for post-harvest processing
Assist in the wash station as needed
Maintain a clean workspace in accordance with FSMA produce safety rules
Break-down and clean produce stations: sweep, disinfect etc.
Maintain organization and inventory in walk-in coolers
Skills & Qualifications:
1+ year prior work experience in food retail experience preferred
Outgoing and friendly disposition with desire to provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly
Self-starter and go-getter attitude with the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Attention to detail and strong organizational/time management skills.
Understanding of urgency, prioritization, and quality/accuracy necessary associated with task completion
Passion for the Amber Waves educational mission & values of sustainability, stewardship, community, and exploration.
Confidence to share this knowledge and passion with the public
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Flexible but must be available to work at least 8 weeks between from 5/15-9/1
$17- $19/HR, depending on experience
