Job Overview

We are seeking a physically capable, plant-savvy Seasonal Grounds, Garden & Vineyard Associate. The primary focus of this role (first 3–4 weeks) is a Sensory Garden landscape installation, followed by vineyard support, grounds keeping, and harvest work. This is ideal for someone with experience in landscaping, botany, or ecology, comfortable with power tools, and excited to learn about winegrowing while working with a small intimate team in a beautiful location.

This is a full-time seasonal position (spring through November). Possible On-site housing/camping may be available. Possibility to be invited back for future seasonal work.

Key Responsibilities

Landscape Installation (Primary Early Season Focus)

  • Lead or assist in a major landscape project including planting, hardscape setup, irrigation installation, and other site improvements.
  • Operate power tools and landscape equipment safely (drills, saws, trimmers, etc.).
  • Apply plant knowledge to plant and care for new plantings.
  • Work collaboratively to complete a large-scale installation efficiently and to high standards.

Grounds Maintenance

  • Maintain gardens and outdoor spaces (mowing, weeding, pruning, irrigation, cleanup).

Vineyard Work

  • Assist with vine maintenance, canopy work, and general field tasks.
  • Operate tractors and basic vineyard equipment (training provided).

Harvest Support

  • Participate in the winery during harvest activities.
  • Willing and able to work long days during the 5-8 week peak harvest period in the fall.

Qualifications

  • Strong plant knowledge; background in botany, ecology, horticulture, or landscaping preferred.
  • Experience with landscape installs a plus.
  • Comfortable using power tools and outdoor equipment.
  • Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Interest in viticulture, organic farming, and the wine industry.
  • Reliable, flexible, and team oriented.
  • Prior seasonal work experience is a plus and may lead to future seasonal opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $24–$28 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Hands-on experience in landscaping, vineyard work, and ecological restoration.
  • Potential for return seasonal work in subsequent years.
  • Possible on-site housing and wine allowance
