Seasonal Golf Course Crew Member

Position Summary

The Seasonal Golf Course Grounds Crew Member assists in the daily maintenance and presentation of the golf course. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality playing conditions by performing routine turf maintenance tasks, course setup, and general grounds work. The position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in their work, and are interested in turf management or golf course operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Mow greens, tees, fairways, approaches, rough, and surrounding areas
• Assist with course setup, including cup changing, tee marker placement, and bunker raking
• Operate and maintain turf equipment such as mowers, utility vehicles, blowers, and hand tools
• Perform general grounds maintenance including trimming, edging, debris cleanup, and divot repair
• Assist with irrigation system operation, hand watering, and basic repairs
• Participate in special projects such as aerification, topdressing, overseeding, and sodding
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment operation guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance facility
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent

Qualifications

• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior golf course or landscaping experience preferred but not required
• Interest in turf management or the golf industry is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and varying conditions
