Seasonal Grounds Crew

Woodson Bend Resort is seeking dependable, hardworking team members to join our Seasonal Grounds Crew. This position helps maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and curb appeal of the resort grounds, common areas, and outdoor amenities. The ideal candidate takes pride in outdoor work, works well as part of a team, and is willing to perform physically active duties in a fast-paced resort environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns throughout the resort property
• Weed, mulch, prune, and care for landscaped beds, shrubs, and trees
• Pick up trash, debris, limbs, and other materials from roadsides, common areas, and grounds
• Assist with cleanup of outdoor amenities, parking areas, sidewalks, and building surroundings
• Operate grounds equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other hand tools safely and efficiently
• Assist with seasonal property preparation, including spring opening, summer upkeep, and fall cleanup
• Help maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the resort for owners, guests, and visitors
• Support storm cleanup and weather-related response efforts as needed
• Report unsafe conditions, damaged property, or equipment issues to management
• Follow all safety procedures and use equipment properly
• Perform other general labor and grounds-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior groundskeeping, landscaping, lawn care, or general labor experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality required
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently
• Basic knowledge of lawn and landscaping equipment is a plus
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work on uneven terrain and in hot, cold, or wet weather conditions
• Ability to safely operate powered grounds equipment and hand tools

Work Schedule

• Seasonal position with flexible scheduling based on operational needs
• May include weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Overtime may be required at times depending on weather, occupancy, or property needs

Work Environment

This position works primarily outdoors across the resort property and may be exposed to heat, humidity, rain, cold temperatures, insects, noise, and uneven ground conditions.
