Copper Creek Landscaping is seeking a reliable and motivated Landscape Delivery & Yard Operations Associate to join our team.

This position plays a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly by handling material deliveries, equipment transportation, yard organization, and supporting our retail yard. This is a hands-on position that includes both operational responsibilities and customer-facing retail interaction.

The ideal candidate enjoys operating equipment, staying organized, working outdoors, and assisting both crews and customers.

Position Summary

The Landscape Delivery & Yard Operations Associate is responsible for transporting landscape materials and equipment, maintaining an organized yard, loading trucks for crews, and assisting customers with material selection and loading.

This role supports both our landscape installation crews and our retail material yard, with regular opportunities for customer interaction.

Core Responsibilities

Material Deliveries (CDL preferred, but not required to apply)

• Deliver landscape materials such as soil, mulch, rock, plants, and supplies to job sites
• Safely transport materials using company trucks and trailers
• Ensure deliveries are completed on schedule
• Verify materials and quantities prior to departure

Equipment Transport

• Deliver and retrieve equipment from job sites
• Safely load, secure, and transport equipment including skid steers, tractors, and other landscape equipment
• Perform basic visual inspections during transport
• Report any equipment issues to management

Yard Operations

• Load daily materials for landscape crews
• Maintain organization of bulk materials, pallets, and plant inventory
• Keep yard clean, safe, and efficient
• Assist with unloading incoming deliveries and stocking materials

Retail & Customer Assistance

• Provide retail-facing support by assisting customers in the yard
• Help customers load landscape materials including soil, mulch, rock, and plants
• Offer basic guidance on material selection and plant handling
• Deliver a professional, helpful, and positive customer experience

Plant Knowledge & Handling

• Assist with handling and organizing plant material including trees, shrubs, and perennials
• Maintain basic plant care awareness (watering needs, protection during transport, etc.)
• Identify common landscape plants and understand general use and placement
• Ensure plant material is handled carefully to maintain quality

Pallet Pickups & Returns

• Pick up empty pallets from job sites
• Return pallets to vendors and suppliers as needed
• Maintain organized pallet inventory in the yard

Daily Success in This Role

A successful associate in this role:

• Ensures crews have the materials and equipment needed each day
• Maintains a clean, organized, and efficient yard
• Completes deliveries safely and on time
• Provides strong customer service in a retail environment
• Handles plant materials with care and awareness

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Valid driver’s license
• Experience driving trucks and pulling trailers
• Experience operating equipment such as:
• Skid steer
• Tractor
• Forklift
• Loader
• Basic plant knowledge (trees, shrubs, perennials) preferred
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 40 lbs regularly
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Good communication and customer service skills

Work Environment

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Operation of trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Physical activity including lifting, loading, and unloading materials
• Regular interaction with customers in a retail yard setting
