Camp Lenox, a premier overnight summer camp in the Berkshires, is looking for a reliable, organized, and friendly Seasonal Office Assistant to join our summer team.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants meaningful summer work in a camp environment while also giving their child or children the opportunity to attend Camp Lenox. For eligible staff, this position may include a full camp tuition benefit for camp-age children, ages 8–16.

Camp Lenox’s published 2026 full-summer tuition is $16,050. For the right family, that makes the overall value of this opportunity much greater than the monthly stipend alone.

The role is based in our camp office and includes helping parents, campers, staff, and administrators throughout the summer. Camp is a fast-moving environment: days are busy, needs change quickly, and the right person should be calm, dependable, warm, organized, and willing to help wherever needed.

This can be an especially strong fit for a parent or guardian who is looking for summer work, enjoys being around children, and wants to be part of a positive camp community.

Responsibilities include:

• Answering phones and emails
• Greeting and assisting parents, campers, staff, and visitors
• Helping organize paperwork, forms, mail, and office materials
• Assisting with camper arrival and departure days
• Helping with packages, messages, and general office support
• Supporting camp administration with daily tasks
• Communicating clearly and professionally with families and staff
• Jumping in where needed to help the camp day run smoothly

Ideal candidate:

• Friendly, calm, and professional
• Organized and dependable
• Comfortable using a computer and handling basic office tasks
• Good on the phone and comfortable speaking with parents
• Able to stay patient and focused in a busy environment
• Willing to help with different tasks as needed
• Enjoys being around children and working in a camp setting
• Prior office, school, camp, childcare, or customer service experience is helpful but not required

Compensation and benefits:

• $1,250/month seasonal stipend
