Seasonal Restaurant Manager (Working Manager)

We are a busy, small, artisan pizzeria in Fish Haven, ID (Bear Lake) seeking a **hands-on Restaurant Manager** for our **peak summer season (June 1 – October 1)**.

This is a **working manager role**—you will be actively making pizzas, supporting the team, and leading day-to-day operations during our busiest and most critical time of year.

Key Responsibilities

* Work daily in operations (pizza making, prep, expediting, covering shifts)

* Lead and manage a team of ~4–5 full-time and 8–10 part-time employees

* Build schedules and fill coverage gaps as needed

* Train and mentor staff, including younger/entry-level employees

* Maintain food quality, speed, and consistency during high volume

* Actively manage labor and food costs to hit targets

* Oversee inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination

* Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards

* Set the tone for accountability and teamwork

Salary:** ~$21,500 for the season (equivalent to ~$52K annualized)

* **Performance Bonus:** Up to **$5,000 for the season**

* **Housing:** Private room + bathroom

* Discounted rent: **$200/month**

* Shared kitchen/common areas

* Meals during shifts

Post-season (Oct 1 – May 31):** Role, hours, and compensation will be **reassessed and mutually agreed upon** based on business needs and candidate availability

Bonus is based on performance across the full summer season:

1. Labor Cost Control (50% = up to $3,000)

* Target: **≤ 30–32% of total sales**

* Payout:

* At or below target: **$3,000**

* Within +1% of target: **$1,000**

* Above +1%: no payout

* Within +1% of target: **$1,000**

Requirements

* Prior restaurant or kitchen management experience

* Willingness to be a **working, on-the-line manager**

* Strong leadership and communication skills

* Ability to manage a mixed-experience team

* **Spanish language skills strongly preferred / required**

* Highly reliable, organized, and calm under pressure

* Comfortable operating in a high-volume, seasonal business
