Seasonal Sales Associate

Do you like pearls? Are you interested in a fun job through the Christmas season?

We are Verity Pearl Incorporated, a fledgling handmade jewelry business specializing in beautiful freshwater pearls, keshi pearls, and baroque pearls. Last year with the help of our sales associates we brought holiday cheer to thousands of people at the Seattle Christmas Market! This year we're back bigger and better, and we are looking again for sales associates to help us with our hut!

Job duties and responsibilities

Sell jewelry!

* spread Christmas cheer with a warm attitude

* learn the different facets of our jewelry and different types of pearls, so you can…

* provide recommendations to customers based on their style and interests!

* set and achieve sales goals

* operate a point of sale system to check-out customer purchases

Open the shop!

* stock jewelry

* keep stock and displays well-arranged

Social media stuff maybe!

* post photos on our instagram

Additional duties may become necessary, but nothing too crazy.

Requirements

* warm clothing – it’ll be winter and the hut is outdoors – we will have a space heater and other things to help keep warm

* legal to work in Seattle

We are offering part-time schedules, and this is a seasonal position that only runs from late November until Christmas Eve. Specifically, the hours of the market are:

Market Hours

November Hours

• Nov 20-21: 4:00pm-9:00pm
• Nov 22-23: 11:30am-9:00pm
• Nov 24-26: 4:00pm-9:00pm
• Nov 27 (Thanksgiving): CLOSED
• Nov 28-30: 11:30am-9:00pm

December Hours

• Dec 1-5: 4:00pm-9:00pm
• Dec 6-7: 11:30am-9:00pm
• Dec 8-12: 4:00pm-9:00pm
• Dec 13-19: 11:30am-9:00pm
• Dec 20-23: 10:00am-9:00pm
• Dec 24 (Christmas Eve): 10:00am-6:00pm

Basically, weekdays are mostly the evenings only, until December 13th when the Christmas shopping starts to really heat up.
