Seasonal Sales Associate

Position: Seasonal Sales Associate (Fireworks Tent) Company: Razor Fireworks Location: Dixon, IL 61021 Job Type: Seasonal / Contract Pay: From $15.00 per hour

About the Role: Razor Fireworks is seeking energetic, reliable, and hardworking Seasonal Sales Associates to join our team for the upcoming fireworks season! This is a dynamic role that goes beyond standard retail. You will be an essential part of the entire lifecycle of our temporary tent location—from building it from the ground up to providing excellent service to our customers, and finally, packing it all away.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-Season Setup: Assist with the physical setup of the fireworks tent, including unloading inventory trucks, assembling display tables, organizing product layouts, and setting up signage.
• Customer Service & Sales: Welcome customers, answer questions about different types of fireworks, and provide recommendations to help them celebrate safely and enthusiastically.
• Point of Sale (POS) Operations: Efficiently operate the cash register, process cash and payment card transactions, make accurate change, balance cash drawers, and handle refunds as necessary.
• Inventory & Maintenance: Keep shelves fully stocked, ensure products are organized neatly, and maintain a clean, safe shopping environment under the tent.
• Post-Season Shutdown: Assist with the complete breakdown of the tent site after the holiday, including inventory counting, packing unsold products back into trucks, and dismantling tables and signs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be comfortable with physical labor, including lifting up to 40–50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors under a tent in varying weather conditions.
• Prior experience with cash register operations, payment card processing, and balancing cash drawers is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and a great team player with a flexible schedule (including weekends and holidays closest to the event).
