ISLANDS SEASONAL WORKERS

Department of Public Works - Islands Division

June through November, full-time for Islands, up to 40 hours/week - weekdays and possible weekend schedules starting in early spring.

Responsibilities include:

• Mowing.
  
• Trimming.
  
• Weedwhacking.
  
• General maintenance and repair of parks, streets and sidewalks.
  
• Landscaping experience preferred and ability to operate a variety of minor equipment needed to complete the task at hand, but not required.
  
• Responsibility, maturity, dedication and the ability to work in varied weather conditions are a must.
  
• Applicants with a valid Maine Class C driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred, and a Department of Motor Vehicle check will be conducted on those who have one.

Hourly Rate: Positions start at $18.00/hour.
