Seating Systems Engineer to design and develop automotive seating systems, ensuring optimal comfort, safety, durability, cost efficiency, and compliance with global automotive standards. The role involves end-to-end seat system development including seat structure, recliner mechanisms, tracks, foam, trim covers, headrests, and integration with overall vehicle architecture.
The candidate will be responsible for translating customer and vehicle-level requirements into robust seat system designs, supporting concept development through production launch. This includes interface coordination with body-in-white (BIW), interior trims, airbags, seat belt systems, and electrical components such as powered adjustments, heating, ventilation, and memory modules.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop seat structures, recliners, tracks, and adjustment mechanisms.
Create 2D/3D CAD models using CATIA/NX/Creo.
Perform DFMEA, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design validation.
Coordinate with CAE, testing, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
Support prototype builds, testing, and production launch activities.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (FMVSS/AIS/Euro NCAP).
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering.
3–8 years of experience in automotive seating design.
Strong knowledge of GD&T and automotive development processes.
Experience with seat safety systems (airbags, seat belts integration preferred).
Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
