2nd Grade Teacher

Covenant Christian School is an independent, non-denominational Christian school serving Preschool through 8th grade. Since 1985, we’ve partnered with families across Orange County to provide a Christ-centered education that develops confident, capable, and compassionate learners. We are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and offer a rich, traditional curriculum taught from a Biblical worldview. Students also enjoy a dynamic Enrichment Program that includes Visual Arts, Foreign Language, Coding & Robotics, Performing Arts, and Physical Education.

We are seeking a passionate, full-time 2nd Grade Teacher who is committed to academic excellence and to nurturing students spiritually, socially, and emotionally. This role includes leading daily instruction, creating engaging and effective lesson plans, assigning and assessing student work, maintaining accurate online grades, and supporting students through ongoing evaluation. Additional responsibilities may include supervising recess or lunch. Candidates should be confident with educational technology and comfortable using digital platforms to communicate with parents about assignments, progress, and upcoming events.

Requirements:

• California Teaching Credential - cleared or in process
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in a Christian school

Salary:

• $38,000–$45,000 per year (DOE)
