Second Shift Cooler Stacker Operator - Heavy Lifting Required

1836 Farms is a family-owned and operated dairy processing and distribution facility. The 1836 Farms family has a long and storied history of dairy farming starting with their great grandpa over 100 years ago in Switzerland. We have experience in bottling milk the old school way with old school practices using today’s technology. We also believe that milk in glass bottles is the healthiest and most ecological choice to maintain and sustain our environment, not only here in Texas, but across the U.S. 1836 Farms operates in a 39,500 square foot facility located just outside of Dallas in Terrell, TX.

We are looking for a Cooler Stacker member to work coherently with the production and warehouse teams. The Cooler Stacker position requires heavy lifting of crates of milk/juice products continually throughout the longevity of the shift.

Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently stacking and organizing products, ensuring that all products are handled safely and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, as well as proficiency in operating various types of equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Stack and organize products for storage or shipment, ensuring efficient use of space.
  • Validates the flavor, code date, cap and or tag of the product being produced at the beginning and end of flavor produced
  • Palletize crates being produced according to Brand schematics
  • Wrap pallets to prepare to stage or load in accordance to quality standards
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move product safely.
  • Load product on storage trailers while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
  • Ability to work in a continuous cold environment

Skills

  • Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems.
  • Proficient in forklifts, and pallet jacks
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle products safely.
  • Experience with shipping & receiving operations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage inventory effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining productivity standards.

Working conditions and Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, reach, stoop, pivot turn and bend while performing tasks. Must be able to lift, push and or carry up 50 pounds. Stand for long periods of time and do repetitive tasks with few breaks.

Facility may incur temperature variation and other hazards as incurred in the food manufacturing and packaging process. May be exposed to loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment.

Requires wearing company uniform, with company provided hairnet/beard net, ear plugs when in production, warehouse, cooler and maintenance areas.
