Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this position is responsible to lead and manage shift specific day to day operations on the production floor in the Eau Claire Facility. The position is responsible for all manufacturing processing through the Eau Claire manufacturing facility to insure employee safety and moral, the lowest possible cost, acceptable product quality, and maintenance of customer service levels.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate all manufacturing operations to meet customer order requirements, control costs and meet quality requirements while maintaining operational safety, effectiveness, and efficiency
- Provide supervision and leadership to direct manufacturing personnel
- Coordinate with all other EC Departments in an effort to maintain site specific goals – Use the opportunity for improvement to address and track specific issues
- Support development and implementation of lean processes and techniques that foster continuous improvement focused on high quality and cost reduction
- Develop, implement, train, and maintain control plans, procedures and policies for Eau Claire to ensure the company continually strengthens its competitive edge
- Responsible for production order execution and coordinating to insure that on time delivery, cycle time, and fill rate goals are met
- Meet or exceed ISO regulations for facility and production processes
- Help to develop and maintain a high-performance organization through involvement in hiring, terminating, and training of employees
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Monitor associates’ daily labor reporting on work orders to ensure accuracy.
- Review labor balancing from the previous day for associates reporting hours on work orders and make adjustments as needed.
Experience: Minimum 5 years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience combined with education in a technical or business discipline preferred.
