Second Shift Supervisor

Job Summary
Liberty Waste Solutions is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Shop Supervisor to lead our shop operations and technician team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities, managing workflow, and ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position plays a critical role in keeping our fleet running and supporting reliable service across our operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of employees in the maintenance shop
• Coordinate and supervise all maintenance work and repairs, monitoring progress and quality
• Review driver repair requests and other maintenance needs; prepare and manage work orders
• Perform mechanical duties as needed to support the team
• Monitor inventory of replacement parts and manage restocking
• Lead, coach, and develop technicians, including performance management and disciplinary action as needed
• Provide input on hiring, termination, compensation, and promotion decisions
• Ensure consistent application of company policies and strict adherence to safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records and create reports as necessary

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in fleet, heavy equipment, or waste industry maintenance preferred
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
