Duties

• Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote literacy, creative writing, and analytical skills.
• Develop engaging instructional materials utilizing learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance student understanding.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide timely feedback to support growth.
• Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques that encourage respect and collaboration.
• Mentor students individually or in small groups, providing academic advising, tutoring, and support tailored to diverse learning needs including special education.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, interdisciplinary projects, and school-wide initiatives to improve educational outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents while ensuring compliance with education administration policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field; higher education teaching experience preferred.
• Proven classroom experience with secondary students in diverse educational settings; private school experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, AP style (Advanced Placement), proofreading, and copy editing.
• Familiarity with learning technology tools, standardized testing procedures, instructional design, and research methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively and collaborate with colleagues.
• Demonstrated organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and record keeping.

Pay: $44,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
