Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in core mathematics subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Discrete Math, Differential Equations, and other advanced topics.
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with educational standards and tailored to meet individual student needs.
- Incorporate modern learning technology and instructional design techniques to enhance student understanding and participation.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and formative assessments; provide timely feedback to support growth.
- Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on coursework, college preparation, and career pathways.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school initiatives, and extracurricular activities related to STEM education.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance data; contribute to school reporting requirements.
- Support special education needs when applicable and adapt teaching strategies accordingly to ensure all students succeed.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience teaching secondary mathematics at the high school or equivalent level.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Discrete Math.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design tailored for diverse learner populations.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools such as interactive whiteboards, online platforms for tutoring or virtual classrooms.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom management and behavior management strategies that foster a respectful learning environment.
- Prior involvement in standardized testing preparation and assessment analysis.
- Experience working with students of varying abilities including special education populations; knowledge of Montessori or private school settings is a plus.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
