Supply Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team, providing support in various secondary schools across Norfolk. This role is ideal for individuals who are flexible, enthusiastic about supporting education, and ready to work in different teaching environments on a supply basis.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the delivery of planned educational activities and work programmes whilst ensuring the safety and inclusive engagement of all pupils.
- Support the classroom teacher in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a constructive environment.
- Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Facilitate small group and one-to-one sessions to reinforce learning.
- Assist with the setup and clearing away of classroom activities.
- Participate in school meetings and training sessions as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role, preferably within secondary education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different educational settings and needs.
- A positive and proactive approach to classroom management.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
