We are known for our 10-day lead times and high-quality craftsmanship. We are seeking a precision-focused Installer to join our team and uphold the "Elite Standard."
Responsibilities
- Site Assessment: Measure and assess installation sites to determine the appropriate overhead door specifications, requirements, and "buckout" needs.
- Precision Installation: Install sectional overhead doors using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques with a focus on precision, safety, and aesthetic finishes.
- Mechanical Execution: Conduct expert door hanging and fixture installation. Install and calibrate high-cycle springs, cables, and engineered struts for high-wind environments.
- Heavy Material Handling: Safely handle the heavy lifting of doors, hardware, and related materials, following all strict safety protocols.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical issues, read schematics, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to existing doors or components during the installation phase.
- Site Management: Maintain a clean, professional work environment on construction sites and ensure all safety standards are met during every phase of the project.
- Safe Dismantling: Safely disassemble and remove existing sectional overhead doors. Exercise extreme caution and follow strict safety procedures when dismantling high-tension spring systems (torsion and extension) and cables.
- Height & Equipment Safety: Safely operate and maneuver specialized equipment including scissor lifts, manlifts, and tall ladders while maintaining 100% adherence to fall protection and safety protocols.
Skills & Qualifications
- Tool Proficiency: Highly skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized construction equipment.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Strong mechanical aptitude specifically related to overhead door systems and hardware components.
- Physical Endurance: Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and maintain high physical endurance throughout the workday in various Alaskan weather conditions.
- Technical Interpretation: Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings for precise installations.
- Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work effectively as part of a team on complex construction projects or independently when required.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
