About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Securities Lending Operations professional to join our dynamic team. In this fully remote position, you will handle the day-to-day operational aspects of securities lending activities, ensuring accurate processing, timely settlements, and effective risk management. This role is ideal for someone with strong reconciliation skills and hands-on experience in securities lending workflows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily securities lending operations, including loan processing, returns, monitoring, and settlement activities.
  • Conduct position and cash reconciliations across systems to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage loan recalls, buy-ins, and related exception resolution in a timely manner.
  • Process and balance corporate actions, with a focus on dividend processing and event impacts on lent securities.
  • Utilize LoanNet for trade and inventory management, DTC for settlement and custody activities, and BPS for relevant processing workflows.
  • Collaborate with trading teams, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and minimize operational risk.
  • Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and support audit/compliance requirements using advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reconciliation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven experience in securities lending operations, stock loan processing, or related financial operations roles.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate action processing, particularly dividend events and their implications for lent securities.
  • Hands-on proficiency with LoanNet (FIS Securities Lending Processing Platform), DTC(Depository Trust Company) settlement processes, and BPS systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data manipulation, macros a plus) for reconciliation and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of securities lending lifecycle, collateral management, recalls, buy-ins, and balancing procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external counterparties.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with mark-to-market processes, collateral monitoring, or exception handling in securities finance.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in securities lending (e.g., Reg T, 15c3-3).
