Description
Security Officers will be responsible for maintaining the overall safety and security of Huggins Hospital facility, along with assisting staff in a support role and assisting patients and visitors to during their time at the facility.
Responsibilities
-
Conducts patrols of the main facility and its campus buildings.

Observes patient and visitor behavior and interacts in the event of an issue.

Supports clinical staff safety as they carry out their roles.
-
Secures and controls access to the organization after hours.
-
Responds to panic alarms, codes and 911 calls throughout the facility.
-
Establishes a good working rapport with local law enforcement.
-
Assists during a helicopter med flight operation.
-
Conducts exterior patrols of campus once per shift.
-
Observes suspicious activity on campus and contacts law enforcement if necessary.
-
Writes professional and detailed incident reports.
-
Follows Huggins Hospital’s policies and procedures.
-
Assists clinical staff in the transportation of deceased to the morgue.

Monitors camera system and reports suspicious activity to leadership.

Actively participates in all hospital Service Excellence initiatives and trainings

Attends and participates in a minimum of 50% of Division of Surgery and other staff meetings and signs off on review of 100% department staff meeting minutes

Completes all required annual education on or before the due date

Collaborates with clinical team to meet staff and patient educational needs.

Qualifications
-
High school diploma, college preferred.
-
1-Year Min, Healthcare Security experience or related field.
-
IAHSS credentialed preferred.
-
NH Guard Card Compliant upon hire.
-
Valid Driver's License in good standing.
-
Completion of Huggins WPV program upon hire.
