Job Title: Workday Security Analyst (Senior Workday HRIS Analyst)
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (Onsite 4 days/week)
Salary: $130,000 – $140,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Security Analyst to lead the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday security configurations. This role is key to ensuring data integrity, compliance, and secure access across the organization. You will collaborate closely with HR, IT, and management to develop, manage, and enhance security roles, permissions, and policies within Workday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain Workday security roles, groups, and access controls.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues for end-users.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and business teams to implement best-practice security solutions.
  • Support internal and external SOX audits, ensuring compliance with access and change management policies.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and incident resolutions.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to support HRIS processes.
  • Assist with HR program management and implementation of new initiatives.
  • Ensure data integrity through audits and role/permissions cleanup.
  • Stay updated on Workday trends and recommend system enhancements.
  • Participate in migration and enhancement projects to support HR technology evolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, HRIS, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience across multiple modules (HCM, Benefits, Security, Absence, Time Tracking, Reporting).
  • 3–5 years of Workday security implementation/configuration experience, including business processes and integration security.
  • 2+ years of data analysis/reporting experience using Workday Report Writer, calculated fields, and advanced Excel.
  • Expertise in managing role-based and user-based security models, including custom domains and permissions.
  • Experience with Authentication Policies, SSO configuration, and MFA.
  • Workday EIB template experience and strong Excel skills.
  • Workday Security Certification preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and project management skills.
  • Consulting experience or client-facing exposure is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential data.
