Security Assistant - Al Mouj Muscat (The Wave Muscat)

In places like luxury hotels, beach clubs, and restaurants in Al Mouj, A Security Assistant (often similar to a Security Guard/Security Officer) supports the safety and security of people, property, and assets within the Al Mouj Muscat community including malls, hotels, residential areas and public spaces.

Core Responsibilities:

Patrol premises including entrances, walkways, parking areas, and facilities to deter and detect signs of intrusion, theft, or hazards.

Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control points to ensure only authorized persons enter.

Check identification and control entry/exit of visitors and vehicles.

Respond quickly to alarms, emergencies, disturbances or safety issues and report all incidents to supervisors.

Provide assistance and directions to visitors, maintaining professional and courteous service.

Maintain daily logs, incident reports and records of security activities.

Support crowd control during events and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Follow standard operating procedures and escalate concerns to senior security staff.

Typical Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent (often required).

Good observation, communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work in shifts (day/night) and stand for long periods.

Some roles may require a basic security training certificate or willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
