Northern Lights Security, a leading provider of private security services throughout North Dakota, is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our growing team as Security Dispatchers at our Fargo Operations & Dispatch Center.

As a Security Operations Coordinator, you will serve as the communications hub for our field operations. This position plays a critical role in officer safety, emergency response coordination, client communications, and incident management. Similar to a public safety dispatcher, you will coordinate security resources and provide support during both emergency and non-emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls
  • Dispatch Security Officers to calls for service and client requests
  • Monitor officer activity, status, and welfare throughout shifts
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and dispatch documentation
  • Coordinate responses to alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other incidents
  • Communicate effectively with Security Officers using radio systems and other communication platforms
  • Monitor security systems, cameras, and operational alerts
  • Contact and coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, EMS agencies, and emergency communications centers when necessary
  • Provide situational support and resource coordination during critical incidents
  • Maintain professionalism and composure during high-stress situations
  • Assist with client communications and service requests

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies
  • Proficiency with computers and technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Open availability preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous dispatch, call center, security, law enforcement, corrections, military, EMS, fire service, or public safety experience
  • Experience using radio communication systems
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Experience with report writing and incident documentation
  • Bilingual skills

Work Environment

This position is based at our Fargo Dispatch Center and involves continuous monitoring of communications systems, handling incoming calls, coordinating field personnel, and supporting emergency response operations. Candidates must be comfortable working evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations when required.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
