Security Guard

Job Summary

The Security Guard (Plant Nursery) will be responsible for safeguarding nursery property, plants, equipment, and staff by maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Security & Surveillance

• Monitor and patrol nursery grounds, entrances, storage areas, and plant houses.
• Ensure all gates, doors, and access points are securely locked when required.
• Prevent unauthorized entry of vehicles, individuals, or vendors.
• Observe and report suspicious activities immediately to management.
• Conduct regular security checks and document incidents in the security logbook.

Asset Protection

• Safeguard plants, materials, tools, equipment, and inventory from theft or damage.
• Monitor delivery and dispatch of plant materials and ensure proper gate-pass documentation.
• Check outgoing vehicles to ensure materials match authorized delivery notes.

Health, Safety & Emergency Response

• Ensure pathways, work areas, and access zones remain safe and clear.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire, accidents, or damage to plants/facilities.
• Enforce safety guidelines for visitors, workers, and contractors.
• Assist with crowd control during busy periods or special events.

Customer & Staff Interaction

• Guide visitors, customers, and contractors to designated areas.
• Maintain a courteous and professional approach at all times.
• Assist staff in maintaining order within the nursery premises.

Administrative Duties

• Monitor and record visitor entry and exit details.
• Report maintenance or safety hazards to the management promptly
