Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping others safe? Join our dedicated team at the Jamestown Healing Clinic (JHC), where you will play a vital role in protecting patients and staff in a welcoming, integrated healthcare setting.
In this dynamic position, you will help maintain safety across the JHC facility, which offers primary care, dental, behavioral health, and opiate use disorder treatment. You will also support our Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) as it travels to rural areas, ensuring security and peace of mind on the go.
This is a full-time position designed for someone who appreciates a consistent yet active schedule. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, with alternating Saturday shifts to ensure comprehensive coverage based on staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Enforce and uphold all safety and security policies and procedures
Patrol and monitor both interior and exterior areas of the facility
Operate and monitor security surveillance systems
Observe, report, and document suspicious activities or incidents promptly
Diffuse challenging situations with tact, professionalism, and calm communication
Conduct facility security checks after business hours
Assist with internal investigations as assigned by the Security Manager
Build positive relationships with patients, staff, and leadership to support a culture of healing
Provide coverage for custodial staff if needed
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, the Occupational Exposure Control Plan, and all JHC safety standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong time management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain through employer-provided training upon hire)
Must pass a criminal background check
Valid Washington State Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment
What are the Preferred Qualifications for this position?
Security Guard training certification
One (1) year experience working as a Security Guard
Experience working in a clinical setting
Knowledge of current State and Federal requirements for safety and security measures
Experience using security software and applicable safety and security equipment
American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply
