Security Guard

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers/members, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding security protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining all city and state regulations are followed and implemented pertaining to customer/member guidelines
• Keeping premises clean of litter
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Enforce rules and regulations pertaining to loittering, consumtion and under age entry
• Provide assistance during emergencies
• Document incidents and prepare reports as required.
• Engage in conflict management to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
• Monitor security cameras at all times
• Ensure security cameras are functioning properly
• Welcome patients as they come to the building and open the door for them
• Conduct security checks of the building exterior and interior at opening and closing
• Perimeter walks
• Investigate any safety concerns from staff or customers/members or neighbors
• Respond to any situation where a customer/member or staff is threatened or feels unsafe
• Perform opening and closing duties as outlined on the Security Guard Checklist
• Walk customers/members and staff to their cars, if requested
• Assist staff with opening and closing duties
• Ensure safety during deliveries by monitoring surroundings, escorting vendors to/from vehicle

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in security-related fields is a plus.
• Previous experience in security
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail and fast acting in a stressful situation
• Excellent customer service
• Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and experience working in stressful situations
• Pass Background check

Physical Requirements:

● Must be able to move quickly if needing to respond to an emergency situation

● Twisting, bending, walking, sitting, standing for long periods of time, up to one hour

● Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs frequently

● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally

● Must be able to climb and descend stairs frequently

● Exposure to extreme heat and cold

● Tolerance to outdoor conditions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
